Cameron was an excellent server!! Food was excellent and ambiance was terrific. Had the wagyu steak which was yummy and the trout was great. French fries were the best. Will definitely be back. Only thing I would improve is the amuse bouche (sorry I didn't like it because it was too dry).

We did the prefix three course experience and it was absolutely great... The food was delicious. Incredible value for money. And great service.

I had the muscles with cannoli beans. It great. Love the toast to soak up the garlicky sauce. Another diner had the wagu steak and said it was excellent. Another had the gnocchi and enjoyed it very much.

We liked the new decor. There is a more intimate feeling now. The food was delicious. We shared an order of escargot. The baguette was necessary to sop up all the olive oil. My husband had the steak. It was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious wine sauce. I had the ground boar that was served over polenta. We enjoyed a local Cabernet with our meal. We ended with lattes and a chocolate mousse served in a pastry shell. A perfect Valentine's Day meal!

We loved Poppy! The staff was very friendly and professional and service was top tier. The food was incredible!

Great service. Tables close together unless you get a booth. Have the trout and chicken for your mains. The beet and smoked salmon appetiser was nice. The chocolate choux dessert is amazing.

We ordered the family style meal of the day: wild flounder. Brilliant and well presented. Generous portions and delicious. It was paired with wine which really added to the experience. There was an appetizer plus dessert included. An excellent value.

We did the family style meal of steak and frites, escargot and panna cotta and it was delicious! Pricing was so reasonable too. I can't recommend this enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Tuesday night family-style dinner with wine pairings, an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere and service was warm and inviting, the pairings were perfectly curated. A true highlight of the evening was the opportunity to meet the winemaker from Cline, whose wines beautifully complemented each course and made the experience even more memorable. We look forward to our next visit.

We have been several times now and the food is good, however, we tried the pork/cabbage roll and we DO NOT recommend. The Epi Bread and terrine was good and the simple salad was fine. We will wait for a while before going back in hopes of some new additions.

Outstanding!! Service (Cameron) was on point. Never felt rushed and he took time to answer questions. Very knowledgeable regarding wine list and just overall pleasant. The food was excellent!! All fresh, seasonal ingredients. I was afraid we would walk away hungry as many French restaurants tend to have small portions. This was the exception. Healthy portions and cooked to perfection and served beautifully! Can't wait to go back. Will be telling friends about Poppy. Highly recommend!!

Poppy is such a gem in Glen Ellen. We were there on a family menu night but there are too many good options on the ala carte menu to limit ourselves. We had the bread with ham (might try one of the pates next time), the oh so decadent escargot, cauliflower with cheese and breadcrumbs (kind of a crunchy, veggie Mac n cheese), warm beets, and trout. Maybe more? Our server was delightful and fun, the room was vibrant but not noisy, and every bite was a treat. All wonderful paired with a Laurel Glen Sauv Blanc. Thank you Poppy Team!!

Fish cooked rare is ok with me but mine was raw!!! The waitress was very nice and brought me another that was cooked more. Two of us had the trout with leeks. Neither of us enjoyed this combination. The other person had the polenta with ragu which he said was mediocre. We had bread and butter at the beginning of the meal which was great. The salad Verte was fairly pricy for how small it was. The change of decor is very nice but I definitely would say this is no longer one of our favorite restaurants. So sad to say.

While parking on the street is a bit challenging the restaurant is not fancy but is quite charming. The menu is limited one choice in each food group and might be a bit pricey for some, the steak was $72? I loved the mussels and clams in a delicious broth with beans and onions, My tip is to shuck out the seafood into the broth bowl and then use the big spoon to enjoy all the flavors together, instead of one at a time. My wife had a polenta with a wild boar red sauce, it needed salt or something to jazz it up. Our server, whose name we never got, early 30's, dark curly hair and a beard, was terrific. Knew the menu front to back and since we'd never dined there before we relied on him to suggest wines to match with our meals and he was right on. Wine list is also on the the upscale side. The restaurant adds a 3% charge for using a credit card, cash is king but bring several hundred $$ $ with you.

The Family meal at Poppy is excellent and a great value. As a couple we had individual choice over appetizers (escargot or salad) shared the rack of lamb and chose different desserts (housemade ice cream and cheese plate). The meal came with two glasses of wine each. Everything was delicious and we will return again for cassoulet night!
