Incredible experience! When we found out the restaurant had changed over from The Fig Cafe but was still under the same ownership, we had to try it. From the moment we walked in, Austin was providing unmatched service to compensate for a delay in our reservation. (As if we were going to get upset about waiting 15 minutes!). We ordered the gnocchi and the roasted chicken after we were given an amuse bouche and a glass of sparkling wine. The food was delectable and the service from all was unparalleled. We only half-jokingly asked Austin on the way out to hold our same table for the same time next year! We look forward to seeing him and our server Cameron and having the same exemplary experience upon our return.

Wonderful Thursday “family style” dinner at Poppy in Glen Ellen. Tonight, the dinner ($65/) featured an appetizer (escargot or fried eggplants), flounder meunière butter sauce on top of spinach and perfectly prepared French mashed potatoes and a choice of an espresso mousse cream puff or homemade cream with Carmel sauce. The price also included wine!! Everything was delightful. Will defiantly be coming back soon.

Amazing dining experience in a very small town. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff along with the most delicious and flavorful food. Austin's warm welcome, Joel's extensive wine knowledge and Cameron's wonderful service made us feel very welcome and blew our expectations. Don't normally order dessert, but the lemon curd with blueberry compote paired with our dessert wine was the cherry on top. Will be going back again in a few weeks with more friends!
Poppy is unbelievably good and such a great location in Glen Ellen. Food was inspiring and everything was awesome. Highly recommend.
Incredible food and atmosphere! This restaurant is a hidden gem of Glen Ellen. Highly recommend to visit and see for yourself! We had such an amazing time.
Visiting friends in Santa Rosa from our SoCal home. Went for dinner: EXCELLENT! What a treat of an evening: had the pork as a main & it was delicious! Service was luscious. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. We’ll be back next visit!
Great deal on Wednesday and Thursday night: 65$ for an appetizer an entrée a dessert and 2 glasses of wine. Hard to beat in Sonoma county! Delicious flaunder and petit choux.
But the service was too fast. You are still chewing your last bite, and they take your plate away. The bread was not fresh.
Bring cash, they charge an extra 3% if you don’t pay cash.
Amazing dinner at Poppy. The service missed no attention to detail. The shaved ham and bone marrow appetizers were so flavorful. Our party of 5 had the pork, gnocchi, scallops and chicken and each dish was beautifully plated but also tasted as good as it looked. We tried all 4 desserts, all were great as well. Definitely recommend and will be returning for sure!
What an incredible dining experience! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. We started with fresh bread served with the most delicious butter—simple, but unforgettable. The stone fruit salad was a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the escargot was rich and expertly done.
The standout for us was the short rib confit—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional French meal.

Overall ok. Some of the food was not edible
This place just opened. Amazing. Authentic French food. We had the short rib and the mushrooms was truly excellent. Highly recommended
Our waiter was amazing and the right amount of friendly! Food was outstanding. We ate the mushrooms dish and the short rib.
Vibe was incredible! It’s a treasure!
Love this authentic and delicious French bistro in Glen Ellen!
Greatly enjoyed our first dining experience at this new restaurant! The starters, especially the asparagus dish, were fantastic. The trout dish was cooked to perfection, and the scallops dish was decadent - the star of the show! Good wine list, too. We enjoyed a tasty sparkling wine to start, and the delicious Gamay we had next paired very well with both the trout and scallops. This restaurant has only been open a couple of weeks, but everything went so smooth. Excellent food. Excellent service. Five stars all the way!
