I heard so much about this place so I decided to place an online order on a whim. After arriving a bit early, they did take a while. I didn’t mind a bit because this store has so much to explore, but just don’t expect the food to come out quickly. The fish was very delicious and I’ll definitely be back to get another plate!
The fish all seemed fresh but the service was truly abysmal. There was a crowd in for lunch and the staff doing the takeout and cooked food was working hard and seemed quite pleasant but the dudes in the fish department who were not serving anyone seemed much more concerned in chatting with each other than servicing customers. They were not interested in answering questions about the fish either. Real difference in staff energy between the rooms. And $30/pound for farmed Scottish...
Fresh Hawaii style poke in a market setting. Quick service, no fuss. It was a little confusing to order a bowl- if you want poke you can take a ticket and order at the counter like at a deli, but if you want the bowl hang a right and order at the cashier.
