This place is not like it used to be. First of all, they have put couple of teenagers to work at cash register and make sandwiches. That is ok as long as someone is supervising them. The sandwiches were made wrong, the stuff we asked to be put on our sandwiches, weren’t done right. The bread was old slightly stale. The stuff in there were not fresh and not enough meat on it. I’m very disappointed and will never be going back.

This is my last review of this place because I won’t be going back.
After many tries, I am giving up. Their sandwiches are terrible. I see them warming sausages on microwave.
I don’t know what’s in these sausages but they are not good.
$11 for microwaved sausage on hotdog bun is not what I expected.
That’s it for me!

An old fashion German Deli !! Flashback to my childhood! Very friendly kind older Lady lets me try some tasty sausages and I found what I was looking for .excellent meat …. Saturday special Bratwurst ..I only can say ..naked sausage on a bun ..don’t be stingy on Mustard and Ketchup Sauerkraut ..even napkins !!! That ruins the experience! Had to ask twice to actually see some Ketchup on my sandwich!!!!

Add decent amount of meat to your sandwiches, owner please tell the young boy who makes sandwiches or train him how to make sandwiches.

Maybe it was an off day for them, but the sandwich I had there yesterday was mediocre at best. Ordered a tri-tip on pumpernickel with mayo, mustard, pickle and cheese from the dour woman staffing the register. When I got it, it looked flat, like only 2 pieces of bread. I struggled to find the meat in the sandwich, and it mostly tasted of mustard and pickle. I'm more than happy to pay extra if it supports a local independent business, but at over $12 with tax, I expect it to have more than a sprinkling of meat. A Double-Double at In-N-Out is half that price, and easily has twice as much beef. You could argue it's a different quality, but what does that matter if you can barely taste it? If I ever go back I'll order a sausage sandwich instead, maybe I'll have better luck. Very unfortunate.

My parents took me in when I was a little kid with the rest of my siblings to get meat. There is a lady that has worked there before I was ever born, still working to this day, 89 years old. She use to hand me bologna. I now take my daughter in 9 years old and she gets it too. I go weekly, to grab lunch meat and and some other meats. They make their product, I believe almost everything. The best tasting ever.

They have spot that you can order food and sit down and eat inside or outside. Always people walking in for their sandwiches, sausages...

The staff have always been kind, smiling, chit-chatting with me. Even customers come in and are polite and friendly. The atmosphere there is calm and nice.

Usually I love this place, I’ve been coming here literally since I was little with my family, getting knuckvurst sandwiches and deli meat, Ritter sports, and spaetzle. Everything’s always been delicious and the ladies serving have always been super nice. But today I asked a question of a young male employee, started talking to him, then without answering he literally turned and slammed the door in my face. Lol. Like dude, really? I went in after him and asked the same question to a young female employee behind the counter, she seemed annoyed talking to me but, at least I got my answer. Idk, I usually don’t care about this stuff, but it’s nice to be nice : ) and like, maybe don’t slam the door in someone’s face? Especially if they’re in the middle of asking a simple question? I was so caught off guard I still don’t know why he did that, maybe he was just having a bad day but, it really bummed me out.

Drove from north Hollywood 30 minutes to Shriners to get their delicious German sausages. I arrived 4:50pm. Shop was closed, lady in shop acknowledged me and didn’t care. I mean if you have opening hours, keep the promise!!!! Last time I’ve been here, super disappointed.

People very friendly and quality of meat good. But, the roll tasted a day or two old and I ended up throwing about 3/4 of it out - barely enough mustard or mayonnaise on there to taste it. Ended up eating the ham and cheese with my fingers. I used to go here years ago and it was always really crowded. Today. I was one of only two people in there and I won’t be going back.
