Hard to find. It’s down a dark hall inside of the Katsuya restaurant. No signs or anything anywhere. When I arrived at the time of my online order’s confirmation, the food was not even started due to “low staff” as the cook claimed. Will not be going back here again.
Got the order right but unfortunately the timing. Food was soggy and sitting there while I was waiting for it. The one guy working there was doing his best but they were understaffed possibly due to covid
I ordered a truffle burger today through online, but when I received it, there's no truffle ingredients (especially the truffle fondue glaze) included in the burger. The picture online was different from the burger I ate. Also, the restaurant itself was an enigma and it's made harder for us visitors to find it (It's inside the Katsuya restaurant)
No longer there
Been to a few Umami burgers, one in Arts District/Little Tokyo one in Pasadena and this one. The others are fantastic. This one is terrible. Incorrect food orders after reordering twice and bad quality greasy food.
Hard to find restuarant, service is terrible, rude staff, hard for food deliver services
This restaurant is awesome and spacious, the food was enchanting and the prices were very affordable. quick, efficient service and very friendly waiters. Highly recommended.
I honestly loved the food and service, good location to my residence. The employees are always very kind. Will visit here again.
Had a lovely evening over at Katsuya @ The Americana! What a great setting with even better food! Our server Ashley was just a delight as well, will absolutely be back!
I know how tough the restaurant biz is right now so I right this with extreme trepidation. But the consumer must know. This appears to be a rented kitchen version of Umami that frankly is hardly anything like an actual Umami burger restaurant. We arrived 7 minutes after our order to find the restaurant not visible no sign or indication of an actual Umami but we did happen upon it by luck and our order ready. Hungry as hell we popped open the box for a couple fries. They were not hot and the grease was old. Never experienced that at Umami before. Got home and busted out the burger. My classic had no grilled onions, no sauce and the bun was like a generic Ralphs bun or worse. The one thing they did get right was the packaging, but as you know I ain't eating the box! I am giving two stars cause I am nice, but you are better off finding an actual Umami restaurant and do so before they close down. They all need business and Umami management I don't think a rented kitchen version is the answer to your troubles. Best of luck.

Excellent sushi, just annoying hostess over the phone. Super snobby and told us they didn’t have reservations... when we arrived, the place was empty. Lol. So, overall worth the hassle, service was good and I’d go back for the sushi for sure!
