“Best tacos and burritos in Southern California. Maybe even in the entire state. And believe me...I drive everywhere in So Cal and have tried thousands of Mexican restaurants.“

“This spot has been amazing every time we pickup. Usually get the large taco platter to feed our big crowd, and the crew are always very kind, helpful, and generous with their delicious salsas! Their fresh chips are also the best and worth an add to your order.“

“Pretty good place to get some fish tacos and burritos. I just got the carnitas burrito which was very tasty. They have a lot of salsa options on the table, so you can experiment and see which one is the hottest. It kinda sucks that they don't give you tortilla chips with salsa like they used to though, I think it's extra now, but oh well. You can park at the back (there's a small entryway next to the place that leads to the small parking lot at the back) and enter through the door from there although parking is limited so if it's full, then you need to maybe park at the curb somewhere.“

“Had the 3 carnitas tacos plate with rice and beans. Carnitas were some of the best I've tasted. Rice and beans were good too. I don't know why but they add whole beans to the tacos. They were good but next time I know to ask for the tacos without the beans.“

“Oh I love going here. Food is top-notch and tastes so good. Just as good as the stuff my grandma used to make us as. Kids. You can't go wrong with their taquitos with guacamole n cheese. Best things to add or try are the guacamole, rice and the beans. Any one of these 3 items will make your plate. It's so good. I can live off their bean and cheese burritos which I probably do. Nice drink selection. From fountain drinks, bottles or cans. No alcohol tho. That's a good thing. The staff is always friendly and courteous and kind. They're always very interactive with some of their regulars. People like coming here The speed and quickness of their cooks is amazing and the food tastes so good. I don't know how they do it. I hope this place sticks around for a long time. Without it I'd probably starve.
Vegetarian options: Many different combination plates that you can choose from that you don't have meat
Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu and most of the large plates can be shared between two to three kids
Wheelchair accessibility: There are two entrances to the restaurant. One has stairs. The other one is a flat surface“

“Unfortunately today there was a blip in my son’s chile verde burrito. First of all he ordered a Chili Relleno Burrito and it had Chile Verde on it. So he thought ok. But it was a pork burrito! I told him to ask them for what I ordered. He blew it off. He regretted his decision. The pork meat was very dry and bland and so was the sauce. I tasted it and I agreed. Then I ordered Topo Chico soda water usual charge is $3.75. This time they charged $4.75. Why? Last Friday a young man served us our soda water in a nicely decorated Margarita glass, salted rim and a lime. With an umbrella too. So cute. Our server said he wanted to make it worth your $3.75. I ordered the same thing today mind you. But this time the owner charged it as a Whiskey Shot…huh?!? So my son was charged an additional $1 for serving my soda water in a pretty Margarita glass, salted rim and a lime. 🍋🟩 So where was the Whiskey! 😂“

“To the discerning critic, Marias may seem simple. It is possible that, yes, the menu is somewhat basic. However, what stands out to me is what can't be seen through the menu. The food will never win a James beard award. However, the food is hearty, the beans are creamy, the rice is fluffy, and the mole is satisfying in a way I can't really describe. Perhaps it's my bias. I have been eating here for nearly 40 years. So little has changed in that time that Perhaps what i like most about this place is my childhood nostalgia. It's fair to say that Marias is the quintessential mom and pop family restaurant. It is a family run family restaurant. A member of a dying breed of business that hasn't changed and does things on their terms. This place, in many ways, shows all the good that this country has to offer? A place where a family can come with a good idea, some grit and work ethic, and make a name for themselves. That is what has been taking place at Marias for the last 50 years. This is my favorite restaurant in the world. And i truly have traveled a good part of the world. I still come back to this place over and over. Nothing will change how I feel about this restaurant. And hey, the food is good too.“

“This was honestly maybe the most authentic Mexican restaurant that I have ever been to. The tacos were amazing the carne asada was nice and almost crispy and honestly the tacos almost had a slight crunch to them. That's so I can really say is I would stop here again no questions asked.“
