We were camping in Grass Valley and some friend of our invited us here, they had delicious food and the service was outstanding, we will definitely be back

Las Katarina’s is a nice restaurant with the best Mexican food in the area. We have frequented this restaurant since it was located in Nevada City. The service last night was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. Our waitress (Bonnie) was unresponsive to our needs, indifferent, and dismissive. We entered the restaurant when it opened and very few tables had patrons. She appeared to care less about her duties as our server. She did not come to our table for over ten minutes to take our orders and never once returned to see if we needed anything else. Overall she just appeared to be going through the motions and didn’t display common courtesies and a sense of helpfulness. It was a very disappointing experience. We left a tip, reluctantly, assuming she shared her tips with others. We didn’t want to short the other kind, helpful staff. There are lots of restaurants in the area and we are not sure we will come back.

The words on their sign say it all....SUPERIOR Mexican dining.....hands down some of the BEST Mexican food I've ever had....and I'm from New Mexico so I know a thing or two about good Mexican food ?....if you go early you'll avoid the crowd....ENJOY!

Beautiful little place. Visiting from Iowa. Some of the best Mexican we've had. My chimi was amazing. Their little scoops of corn bread was amazing as well. House salsa was perfect blend of spicy and smokey. Would love to see food like this back home!

Ok, Mexican food.
Had the carnitas enchiladas, not overly seasoned.
Beans, rice,chips & salsa not bad(but I will continue to drive to the New Mecca in Pittsburgh, Ca)

Dietary restrictions: We have been going to Casa Las Katarinas for many years now and have never been disappointed. The service is always excellent, the staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. We have dietary sensitivities which are always looked after with care! Highly recommend!

The Chili Verde is the best!
