Decided to try Charlie's Cafe for breakfast while my brother was in town. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the eggs Benedict with added avocado, my brother got the biscuits and gravy Benedict and my partner got pancakes with strawberries, chocolate chips and bananas. Aside from the food being exceptionally good, it took forever to come out. We were there about 2 hours in total. It was lunch time by the time our breakfast finally came out. This place has an old feel with a modern twist. You feel like you’re in an old greasy spoon but the food is far from that. The ambiance is intentional and so is the food. Got the chilaquiles which was outstanding- my husband got the chicken and waffles which were classic with a high quality kick.

Definitely coming back!

We decided to go have brunch after church. We have to assume they were short handed since there were plenty of empty tables but only 2 ladies working as hostess and waitress. We waited to be seated for over an hour with only 2 parties ( parties of 3 people i each) in front of us. Our overall wait to eat from arriving was 1 hour 50 minutes. The server was nice but not great. We had to ask a number of times for our water and my husband had to ask a couple times for his English muffins.
