I will never step foot in either of the Flour Garden bakeries ever again.
Short story:
I purchased a custom gender reveal cake for my first pregnancy (I even walked in with a sealed envelope so neither me nor my boyfriend would know) and the cake decorator called me and told me what was in the middle!
I spent time, effort, and money to create a special moment with my partner and I.... Just for it to be completely ruined by some careless, random, stranger on the phone!!
Long story:
The only instructions I gave them were that I wanted a lemon curd cake, add strawberries or raspberries inside if it was a girl, or add black or blueberries inside if it was a boy. In the instructions, it was said that it was a GENDER REVEAL CAKE and to be secretive... The person who took our order, who was the only nice part about this experience, said it could be done. This is true because there are triple berry pies, and fresh fruit cakes on their menu.
Then I got a voicemail from the cake decorator the next day that said "they don't have blackberry filling"... Which isn't what was on the order to begin with... and COMPLETELY revealed the gender!! So instead of a special moment with my partner, I hear it from a careless, random stranger who couldn't read the instructions. Thanks for that memory, always...
After many back and forth conversations between the bakery owner, who was a little dismissive of my experience but also confirmed that they did in fact have blackberries, and the decorator, who continued making excuses, I was given a full refund and they still made the cake for me.
So what was the point of the phone call/voicemail even? They had blackberries the whole time and ruined it for us.
I had to send my partner in to retrieve it though, because I would have cried if I stepped foot in there.
AND THEN he then waited for 15 minutes because the poor workers couldn't even find where the decorator put the cake!! So careless!!
I will no longer be getting my monthly bagel fix here.... Bubba's Bagels is now my spot!!

Nice local shop giving back to the community. Daniel is a great employee and the rest seem to be quite nice as well

We had their Lox Bagels, one was Onion and the other one was Everything bagels. Their portions of Lox were large. Which made the bagels taste even better. Added red onions and capers. Yummy! We'll be back for sure.
There is also another location in the Auburn Town Center shopping mall on Elm Ave. We shall visit that one as well.

Why complain about a bake shop that sells day old goods for fresh prices. Why own a bake shop if you can’t make fresh items. It’s Saturday. Maybe the price is higher when it’s fresh. And to the young lady that lied and said it was fresh made everyday.I hope your day isn’t as stale as your bake sale stuff. Amateurs

I bought a turkey wrap ($8,99), which had little turkey, and the bacon was substandard. And if you want a bagel with butter? Whipped butter is $2,25 extra. A pat of butter is $.35. A one and done experience for me.

Way overpriced for where we are. A basic bagel with lox, cream cheese, and tomato cost over $15! All the toppings are a la carte, which I’ve never seen at a bagel shop. Come on guys, this is GV, not Manhattan. I’m sure other things they offer are great, but I have total buyer’s remorse
This place is hometown comfortable, I go there almost every day. Go there some times twice a day...

Nice place.Good coffee. We each had a different bagel and cream cheese. Thin, tough and strange runny cream cheese. I threw half of mine away.
We went here later in the day, and picked Flour over other pastry shops due to the extensive selection for various family members. However, between the several items we got, and sharing most of them, we found everything to just be 'okay'. This included: croissants, pastries, and bread.

While I've only had their pies I can't comment on anything except those and the inability to order anything online. Being a disabled person I don't always have the ability to walk in and order. Maybe if the website was more user friendly I would probably frequent this business more.

I'll put it this way, a loxs bagel and a green drink will cost you over $32... Might as well go have a sit-down breakfast at a real restaurant if you're going to pay that amount. Taxed!
