I don't often write reviews, but this was worth writing about. Friday afternoon 10/18 my wife and I were in downtown Grass Valley and my wife needed to use a restroom and we were in front of Garys. We've been Garys several times in past. I figured we go in there and buy a drink and she could use the restroom. I look on their menu board and see the soup of the day was clam chowder so I order a bowl thinking it will be just ordinary clam chowder. I'm telling you straight up this was the BEST clam chowder I've ever had period hands down. Problem is I don't know if it's just a Friday thing, but I might be going back today and see if it on the menu. The clam chowder is OUTSTANDING A+ whoever is making it know their stuff.
Parking: Parking is not that bad but can be slightly challenging at busy times.

This is some of the best bar food you will find anywhere. It sucks that you have to go into the bar and push between people sitting at the bar when you want to order food for consumption on the patio. They do make some good Long Island iced teas, though. Don't go there if you are looking for a good variety of craft beers. The tri-tip sandwich and Reuben are excellent, as well as the trailer park tacos.

Good ambiance, fast accurate service, TASTY!!!! Definitely a good place to stop in for a reasonable bite and a good beverage!
This place is outstanding don't think there's a better place you could eat in the entire town of All Grass Valley wonderful food amazing service and Kimmy what a chef you should check this out over the top not to mention Lisa what a bartender best service in the world

Was in town for business and decided to have a little fun singing karaoke at Gary’s. The town of Grass Valley has me sucked in. I’m from KY and I thought we had nice people but Grass Valley and Gary’s had some of the most down to earth, friendly, yet fun people. The bartender was/is a metal drummer, and a great and attentive bartender too! Go to Gary’s. You won’t regret it

Kid-friendliness: It is a bar, so no kids are allowed to be in the bar area!!!But they are dog friendly!!!!That is nice and unique in an eating establishment!!!!!
Wheelchair accessibility: I was able to easily get into the door and sit down at a table!!Everyone was very accommodating and friendly
