1st time I tried, and instantly loved it! I tell everyone I know about this place. I live in Marysville but will definiely go to Grass Valley just to pick up a hit one and a few frozen ones to take home.😋

If you have a common allergy, don’t ask the staff at GV pasty if they sell something you can eat. When I asked if they happen to have gluten free pasties available, I was told, “No. we don’t. It’s really difficult to make good gluten free dough. If you can figure it out, you’ll be RICH.” Just had excellent GF pasties in another beautiful Cornish mining town in Michigan. The total population there was about 15 and someone there figured it out. If you haven’t, a simple, “no, we don’t have them,” is all a customer needs to know.

Such great pastys! The crust is so fresh and fluffy buttery goodness. They make so many different flavors and unique twists and variations of fillings every week. Get there early to get the best flavors of the week. They sell out fast of those. Parking can be a bit tricky sometimes but just use the lot across the street or go straight through the light passed the restaurant and down the one way street and there is a second parking area on the right. Go try them they are so good!

A delicious chicken pasty that would make my great grandmother proud. These guys are real stud muffin, pasty making, lords of deliciousness.

We have been here two times this month! Delightful pasties. Their chicken mushroom one is my favorite. The staff is very friendly and they even treated our pup to a steak treat. We bought some of their frozen pastries to cook at home (had to try all five varieties!) and they baked beautifully and tasted just as good as the ones in the shop. The pastry was not compromised.

Pastys are ok . The problem I have is the price. $ 14.00 for a single pasty. You can go to the other local place and get 2 for that much

May be the best meat pie I have ever had! Should have picked up more for later.

Had the vegetarian pasty, HOLY COW. It was like a handheld pot pie. It somehow was not dry, it was crispy and flaky outside and creamy veggies that still had a little bit of a crunch (ie fresh and not from a frozen bag). Well worth the $13, it fed two hungry gals.

YUM!!! Pasties are fresh, hot and huge. Got the veggie and a meat one (forgot name). Both were very very flavorful and filling. The dough itself has lots of flavor too.
