They have at least five different types of pasties and of the four types I have tried they are wonderful. The pasties are also bigger than typical and my wife and I can share a salad and split a pasty. This can totally fill us up. The guys making the pasties are also quite humorous and entertaining! 😆😂🤣
Vegetarian options: They do have a vegetarian pasty but I have not tried it yet. I do have one in the freezer ready for an emergency!
Parking: There are a couple of spots right in front of the shop on the property. If those are filled you can park for free in the parking lot directly across the street.
Kid-friendliness: Kids love these pasties

Wow, Wow, WOW! What an awesome find! I love meat pies and this was throwing to eat! Family run, dad and his youngish sons were behind the counter. I had a delightful conversation with the owner/founder. Got it takeaway and ate it on the nearby pedestrian plaza. I loved the ham-n-cheese (two meals because it's huge) and my grown son had the turkey & pesto special. Omg, it was incredibly good. A place like this is why I avoid national chains. There's nothing like a family run business that takes great pride in what they do. Two thumbs up 👍👍

If you’re ever in Grass Valley, **make a beeline for Grass Valley Pasty Co**. I had the best pasties I've ever tasted—truly an unforgettable experience. The dough is homemade and perfectly flaky, while the fillings are packed with flavor. Each bite was a delightful mix of textures and tastes. Grass Valley Pasty Co has set the bar incredibly high for me. A must-visit if you're a pasty lover.

Best pasty in town, hands-down! Is it the traditional pasty that the Cornish miners made? No, because it tastes way better! There is so much flavor and the size of the pasty gives me 2 meals out of it! The chicken in my absolute favorite but I have also liked their specialty flavors. I tell everyone who comes to visit that they HAVE to get a pasty from Grass Valley Pasty Co.

We were about to walk away when we saw the prices but we decided to give it a shot. Got the Cousin Jack and were surprised at how bland the filling was. It wasn’t properly seasoned and the potatoes were undercooked. Tasted like boiled beef and potatoes with no salt. Crust was pretty good. But for $16 for one pasty I can’t see us returning. I have to say the guys working there were super nice and welcoming. I really wanna root for them. If they can’t tweak their prices I really hope they can at least tweak their recipes.

We love this place! Just moved to Grass Valley a year ago and we try to get pasties every time we go downtown. They are the best and we love the different varieties. I even brought my friend visiting from Virginia and he was so impressed that we were in and out with enough time to catch a movie, plus he LOVED his and it was his very first pasty!

Lived in Nevada county my whole life, so naturally I've eaten every kind of pastie available. These are the best.

Wonderful pastry and yummy stuff. The love for baking shows thru great job keep it up.
I recommend them because based on all these other reviews, they must absolutely be terrific. Now, if they could just post hours somewhere, I will make a point to come by and have one myself.
Love the place. I think they could make an absolute killing if they put out an easy grab-n-go $5-7 sausage roll, similar to Greggs in the UK. Maybe $8-10 sausage roll + drink. People are looking for this kinda easy/cheap/filling meal in Western Nevada County.
