From start to finish, from the impeccable staff to the sublime food, everything was perfect. The Japanese concepts of relentless pursuit of excellence and meticulous effort are clearly in practice here, and last night they achieved perfection. This is no ordinary Japanese restaurant. Five stars.
Only been there once, last winter. My 12 year old son and I just happened to be able to walk in one night without a reservation. Not a very common occurrence. I love the old school, gold rush historic look of the place. There was a black and white Japanese film from the 1950's playing on a screen within our view. Superb service attentive, personal, and accomodating. Freshest seafood anywhere. Ordering specialty rolls at extra cost is well worth it. Atmosphere is a full house fitted nicely into a small space and still intimate. SO TAKE YOUR TIME AND ENJOY.. My favorite..
