Mark is fearless! He makes outstanding wines that are not only fabulous, but also unique among California wineries. But if you travel through Italy you will encounter these varietals and smile.
What a fun experience!! If you love wine, especially Italian varietals, this is the place. Mark is quite a character and very knowledgeable in his craft. The wines are amazing and the view of some of his vineyards while you enjoy them is beautiful. Off the beaten path but worth it.
Excellent in every way: location, vines, wines, atmosphere and informative passionate farmer. Way to go Mark — outstanding work!
Wow! Can confirm other reviews! hidden gem for sure, especially if you enjoy Italian wines
Friendly staff, dog friendly, large selection to try, fair pricing if you want to buy to take home. Amazing experience,
We enjoyed every thing we tried (which is unheard of)
HIDDEN GEM! This winery is a MUST visit in the area. It’s a great halfway point between Sacramento & Lake Tahoe. Mark, the wine grower, is super knowledgeable and friendly! We learned so much from him. The selection of white and red white is wonderful and delicious. We enjoyed our tastings very much. Would highly recommend stopping by!
Just joined wine club! Great small family owned vineyard that specializes in Italian grapes! So so good. Wine maker mark was awesome!
A fantastic winery! The owner took the time time to talk about his passion for Italian wine and all sorts of things. So interesting! The daughters were so friendly and informative about each wine we tasted (and there were a lot!). Very impressed and highly recommend! Beautiful scenery to look out on! I could happily spend time there again :)
UPDATED: We also went recently on a visit and still a wonderful place! Kid Friendly enough there is grassy areas to keep distant from the other wine partakers (we brought our 16 month old). Owner still as friendly and knowledgeable as ever. I even became a wine member as every wine was delicious! Highly recommend :).
My wife and myself just stopped by for a rainy day visit. What an excellent hidden gem! Awesome wine! I like how there is wine there I've never heard of before. The owner and woman working there were really nice and very informative. We really enjoyed talking to them and look forward to our next visit.
Very nice small winery with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Many wines you can't find anywhere else.
I learned more about wines at this wine tasting than any other winery I've ever been to. On Black Friday his entire staff called in sick for a wine tasting event that he has been promoting. The wines were exceptional and extremely rare. I highly recommend you check out this winery if you like wine or interested in learning about Italian wines. Very educational, super friendly, generously poured all his wines to try. Recently appeared in Forbes and Washington Post!

I was with my mother who uses a walker. We had to pull the walker up a hill on unlevel ground. No side walk. I was not impressed.
Great place. Wonderful people, and tasty wine. We sat on the patio looking over the vineyards. We had a nice tasting and bought a few bottles to take home. Lots of nature and very peaceful.
This spot was perfect and for sure a local gem! Visiting from Phoenix and it was great start to my day. We came for wine tasting and the lady who poured us our wine was so sweet and knowledgeable! The wine tasting is free but I walked out two bottles because they were too good to pass up!
If you like Italian wines this is a must visit.
A local gem. Beautiful vineyards and fantastic wines. This boutique winery is perfect for an afternoon stop to taste local wines and purchase bottles or cases for later. Their Wine Club gets you access to limited releases and special events!
