Pete's Pizza & Tap House

Staff was friendly but I arrived a few minutes after I was supposed to pick up my to go order, I paid and they told me it was not ready. I waited for 20 minutes before asking the ETA. She checked and it had been ready all the along. So I got a cold pizza and on top of that, they always charge 15% gratuity. I used to enjoy this place but I will no longer be going back

Waited over an hour for some slices of pizza. They refused to give a refund at the 45 minute mark. Something’s not right there. Beware.

What's the point of ordering online/phone? If when you arrive to pick up your order you have to wait in line for 20 minutes only to find out that the pizza you ordered 1 hour ago isn't ready?

We came to Pete's Pizza because it was recommended by a very nice local lady, but we were disappointed.
We had to wait way too long for our pizza (approximately 40 min). During that time other people complained about their orders not served in a timely manner, but a large group of people arrived after us and were served fairly quickly.
Service was not super friendly either.
The pizza crust was too crispy, not like a regular pizza dough, more like a cracker I would say.
We were very disappointed about our experience.

I’ve lived in the area for 7 years and finally got around to trying Pete’s Pizza. I’m disappointed I haven’t tried it sooner…the food was excellent. We ordered a family size arugula salad which was quite fresh and plenty for 5 of us to share, along with 3 pizzas (Funguy, Conamara, and the Yuba). I’d argue it’s the best pizza in Grass Valley. The pizza is fresh, thin crust, and flavorful. Pete’s can be busy so assume your pizza will take a while, but kill some time with an appetizer and/or the salad while you wait. They also have a solid tap list and offer a tasting board!

The best pizza I’ve had in years. The Italian sub is great too, much higher quality than the vast majority of places. I ate here 5 times over the course of about 10 days and it was incredible everytime.
