I don't know what the hype is all about. It's okay. The biscuits and gravy were good. The egg sandwich had no flavor; you're better off buying an Egg McMuffin at McDonald's. The service was okay in the beginning, but when we came back and asked for our jalapeño cheddar sourdough, one of the workers snapped, saying they don't sell jalapeño. I didn’t give it 5 stars for atmosphere because we wanted to sit and enjoy their delicious vegetarian tomato soup, biscuit sourdough baguette, AND Brown Butter Cookies!!! The BEST Brown Butter cookies on the West Coast!!! Simply divine!???

We had the pleasure of meeting you at Kiko on Monday and it was just our luck because otherwise we wouldn’t have known to come out to Grover Beach to check out your bakery. As soon as I saw biscuits and gravy on the menu swinging by was a non-negotiable! Truly, no hyperbole: best biscuits and gravy. Really great meeting you both and we’ll definitely be returning to the bakery and checking out the Spoon Trade next time we’re in town. 👏👏
