i moved to grover beach 11 years ago and soon discovered jalapenos restuarant. it is my favorite. the food is great, the service is great and i always leave feeling great. it is a small family business whos quality product is an asset to the community. i highly recommend jalapenos to anyone who asks where to get a consistantly delicious meal.

This family business is run by a pleasant couple. The husband is the chef learned to cook in Zacatecas, Mexico. He charges for a second basket because the chips are the best hand-made chips I have ever had! the salsa is a delicious hand made mixture of hand chopped onions, garlic, tomato and cilantro. They were so good I bought some to go. I ordered the enchiladas suisas. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and moist., with homemade tomatillo green sauce. All the flavorful salsas tickled your tongue but didn't make your nose run. Classically delicious beans and rice. Cold lettuce on the side. For wine margaritas, they were good and the Corona in a chilled glass really hit the spot. I have not found better mexican food in Cambria, Cayucos or Morro Bay. I'm sad we live 55 minutes from Jalapeños.

I think that Jalepeno's has some of the best Mexican Food in the 5 Cities area. Their Enchiladas Suizas are sooo good and so is their Veggie Butrito. Great chips and salsa when you're seared too!

Yeah, they've gone downhill quite a bit. You have to pay for your second bowl of chips, which is fine, but "beef chimichanga" is an example of false advertising. Such a disappointment - perhaps one tablespoon of shredded beef was swimming in a sea of watered-down beans in the chimichanga. At least be honest and rename it "Refried Bean Chimichanga with a Hint of Beef." For a Saturday night, it was empty except for another couple, so I guess word has gotten out. Pretty sad, since this place used to rock! When will restaurant owners quit trying to skimp on everything - do they think the customers are too dumb to notice? Those watered-down beans and misrepresented main dishes are going to cost you more than you are saving in the long run.

I've always loved this place, but hadn't been there for awhile and just went back the other day and I was very happy I did because I don't know if they changed cooks or something but my favorite food that I always order has gotten even better. The place doesn't look like much but don't let that stop you from stopping and eating here because the food is awesome.

Jalapenos is one of our favorite regular places. The service has been great consistently. Tacos, Chile Verde Enchiladas, and a margaritas always hit the spot!
Very good. Food comes out fast. Nice and hot waitress is fantastic. We have had two celebrations for birthdays, and would definitely eat here again.

Love this lil place.. Only Mexican restaurant I eat at pretty much. The Chili Colorado n cheese enchiladas are the best around in my opinion but everything is delish n I love their salsa I always get extra..My husband likes the huevos rancheros..They are very nice people n I love supporting their small business.

Authentic, great traditional Mexican food, service with a smile.... and served piping hot is understated.I've been a fan of Jalapenos for years. Lunch or dinner is terrific. Chips and salsa are always served.
