Great little cafe close to the dunes. Possibly the best french fries in Grover . Friendly staff, restrooms were clean. I would definitely recommend.

A perfect inexpensive lunch stop after walking on the beach! Clean, bright, and friendly. Wife enjoyed a tuna melt with fries and ranch dressing.Charming Melissa recommended their signature gyros on corn tortillas, 3-servings, spicy. I was very satisfied. Recommend!

I went to a mini concert last week to see the Vintage Renegades play for 2 hours. The service was very good, the beer was cold and fresh tasting and the atmosphere was very positive and the energy and vibe was off the hook. I will go back again and enjoy the shows they put on. I had a wonderful time.

Awesome place for Breakfast. Right near the train station and fun and quirky place. Good service, wonderful owners who are very involved and vested in the community. Gott stop by here and check it out.

We had the unfortunate experience of eating at Grover Station Grill yesterday. My wife and I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was awful! Tasteless, dry, and cold. When we complained to the manager (we found out later he was the owner) Mr Z as he is known was rude and verbally attacked us. Hard to believe this business has survived.

Great burritos and I normally don't like burritos. My husband commented on how much he liked the beans (and he's vegan). It was nice of them to cook something special for him. Will definitely be back!

As their website is/was broken and online orders or view of their menu was not available, my wife called from our home to Grover Station Grill at 9:12 am on 01/20/24 and ordered a breakfast burrito, loaded, cut in half as we share. Payment was made via Google Pay at 9:28 am (see pic of receipt). We entered through the back door where most of the public parking is located and were greeted by Melissa Zaferis (Wife/co-owner), I immediately noticed that a burrito was poorly wrapped in yellow paper sitting on the counter in front of the cook window. By poorly, I mean it was partially open and I could see and tell that it was a burrito. We advised Melissa that we called in an order and met her at register, at which time Melissa grabbed the burrito and handed it to me while apologizing about the paper. It wasn't a big deal for me. My wife mentioned that their website was not working to make online orders and payment, Melissa responded, "Ya, we need to get our stuff together." My wife then handed Melissa her business card as we are also a local Grover business. Melissa then made a comment regarding my t-shirt stating, "I like your shirt, but mine would say wine!" My shirt read "I like weed and maybe three people." We chuckled together and I responded, "Thank you, we all have our away from work vices." My wife then paid and we left to go eat on the beach. Sixteen minutes had passed from the time the call in order was placed to the time payment was made. Certainly not enough time for the burrito to be cold on the inside or the dryness, and certainly not enough time for us to discuss any sort of business or services. As you can see from the photo of the burrito, which is tagged Sat. Jan 20, 2024 - 9:41 am, that the quality appears to be poor. My wife managed 2 bites, I was able to choke down one bite, albeit I had added plenty of Tapatio'. The burrito was terrible, it was dry, and cold. The potatoes had the taste of freezer burn, not locally sourced or fresh, but rather store bought pre-made bagged and frozen in taste and texture. The eggs were dry while the color and texture seemed like they had been sitting out for awhile. I was unable to identify if cheese or salsa was present, however my wife claimed that there was in fact cheese, but it too seemed old. The ingredients were of such poor taste that our bulldog refused a bite. You can see the pic of the product and decide for yourself if it appears fresh or of quality ingredients. We immediately made a call to another local spot as you will see the time stamp of that receipt is at 9:53 am via Google Pay (see receipt). With our new burrito, an immediate difference was noticed as it was to hot to touch, we made it to back to the beach, and the taste and texture along with flavor was freshly prepared. Personally I was taken back as to how Grover Station Grill would allow us to walk out their business with such poor quality, as Mr. Zaferis, or Z as he goes by was on the grill at the time. I left a 1 Star review on Google, Z responded by immediately attacking my wife, our business, and threatened to leave poor reviews. As we spoke nothing of our services we could offer them, nor was this a business function, I am amused by Mr. Zaferis unprofessionalism and lack of pride in his product. Also the fact that Mr. Zaferis is a large man standing well over 6 foot tall while my wife is lucky to be 5 foot in heels, much to the fact that I left the review, and I was confused as why I could not be addressed. I contacted Mr. Zaferis on Monday, 1/22/24 at 7:27 am, this call lasted 6 minutes and 51 seconds, and ended with Mr. Zaferis hanging up on me. During this call, Mr. Zaferis immediately was defensive and played victim. He repeatedly claimed that I was berating him as I inquired why he would commit an act of Libel and act slanderous to my wife or our business. I am a Marine Corps Veteran, I am aware of what berating is, and at no time did I berate, curse, or even raise my voice to Mr. Zaferis. I merely inquired why he would attack my wife, busi

Just had the most amazing breakfast burrito I've ever ordered in the 5 cities . It was huge . Extremely fresh and tasty. Finally a restaurant that grills their burrito on the grill for that extra texture. Oh and they make their own hot sauce!!! PCH Picante. Not to be missed

Man, pretty bummed and disappointed. Haven't been to this spot since the change in owners and I'm bummed I won't recommend or go back. Our burrito seemed "old," like it was made the day before and was reheated on the grill. This would explain the "crustiness." The pics are of two different burritos, one from the Grover Station Grill (crusty looking one with yellow paper), and one from Orcutt Burger (the full and fresh looking one in white paper). My called in the order as the website was having personal problems, she hung up, we loaded dog in Jeep, drove the few blocks to pick up burrito, then drive directly to the beach to eat. My wife took to bites while I choked down one. It was terrible. It was dry, the potatoes tasted freezer burn, while the eggs tasted old....like when you leave in the pan all day. The inside was cold and crusty while the tortilla was as well, the entire thing was smashed...like trying to smash and heat it up on the grill. I feel they knowingly sold us an old burrito with poor quality ingredients. We ordered Orcutt on the beach, drive up Grande, drove back to beach, the burrito was hot to touch. Ate like kings and queens. You can see the difference in the pics, zoom in, and you can clearly tell the "freshness" from one to the other. I know it's trivial for only a $10 burrito but no way they didn't know the quality they provided was that poor. If it weren't for that fact I wouldn't have even taken the time for the review because they're a local spot.Owners Response is rather entertaining. At no time did we discuss business. My wife simply left our business card due to the fact that your website was not working to make an online order... your wife's response was, "ya, we need to get our stuff together," and my wife responded with her business card. We didn't open the burrito you made until we got on the beach and took a bite. I apologize for my honesty, but you provided us with a poor product, and by your poor response my assumption that you knew that the product (burrito) was old and of poor quality seems pretty valid. You made it! Our company has not provided any service or discussion of services for Grover Station Grill. However, I enjoyed the dishonesty in your response and your threat of retaliation. The photo speaks for itself. We take better PRIDE in our services. I am sorry that I hurt your feelings, but dry those tears. Thanks buddyI also apologize that my shirt offended you. You may want to post a sign out side stating "easily offended, will sell you day old food, then threaten your wife!"You're welcome to give us a refund! My wife also left a 20% tip...for a four day old burrito. You're welcome.
