Yesterday, my partner and I had dinner ant Vue’s Kitchen. We sat next to the window and had an incredible view. Our waiter, Rusty told us about the specials for the day. He was very polite and respectful. I got the halibut and my partner had ribs. The food was plated beautifully, fresh and the flavor was AMAZING! Even the calamari was delicious!! And that sauce… WOW!! We decided on the cheesecake for dessert and it was just enough to satisfy our palette. It was smooth, silky, not too sweet and very enjoyable. Our experience overall was AWESOME!

We came rather late on a Thursday night after being turned away at a different restaurant and the staff was so polite and accommodating. The atmosphere was fancy, warm and cozy but kid friendly as we brought our seven month old baby and no one seemed to mind. The food was incredible, we all finished our plates and they offered me a birthday dessert but we were just too full and satisfied for more. Thank you so much. One of my best meals and we came all the way from Boston.

I had my wedding rehearsal dinner here on Sept. 27 with a group of 16 people. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Working with Chris was easy to do and he suggested some great options for the group. We picked off their menu and the food was delicious. The room had bad acoustics though so it was hard to hear each other talk. Nothing the Vue can do about that though. They are a little pricey and even charged us for appetizers which we did not order so that needed to be fixed but I would recommend the Vue as a great spot for an intimate evening out on the coast.

We had a wonderful dinner at Vue Kitchen. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we felt welcome. We had a drink overlooking the beach and ocean in the bar, after which we moved to the dining room and had a great meal. Our server Kelly was very attentive. He made suggestions, and answered our questions. He didn’t steer us wrong. My husband loved his steak frites and the seafood in my pasta was cooked with such care and with perfectly al dente linguini. Service was prompt, but not at any time did we feel rushed. We had a great yuzu cheesecake for desert, which was very refreshing. It didn’t matter that it had started to rain, we warmed ourselves by the cozy fire that had been lit in the bar area. I would strongly recommend Vue Kitchen to anyone in the area looking for a great place to have dinner!

Delicious clam chowder that is packed full of clam and other ingredients. Delicious raspberry margarita. The raspberry sorbet is a great dessert and they serve it with a biscotti cookie and the server mentioned it's fun to crumble up and pour on it like a crust. Would definitely come here again and the staff was on top of quickly serving and providing food/drinks! The view from the restaurant is also amazing, so a very nice experience.

Food was pricey! Service was somewhat slow. The wait was long even though there was plenty of empty tables in the dining room.
Vegetarian options: Limited option.

The food was bland and flavorless, which was unfortunate because it was plated very nicely. It took forever to get our drinks from the bar even though they weren’t busy when we got there. The bartender appeared to be fumbling every task in front of him and did not look at all familiar with working behind a bar. Our entree never arrived and they double charged us for our drinks. Our 7 year old spilled his drink and no one came to assist with the cleanup. The hostess was warm and inviting and was the only welcoming face we encountered during our dining experience. The patrons kept giving my family and I dirty looks and made us feel extremely unwelcome. As a family of color it’s a disappointing but not surprising reception especially in an establishment that caters to an uncultured, entitled monochrome group of patrons. But hey the view was nice.

I had the wonderful opportunity of providing flowers for a wedding in early May. We stayed in at the Hotel Breakers in Gualala. That night, after a very long day, we had dinner at the Vue.
Five stars are not enough.
Everything we ordered was amazing.
I am looking forward to the wedding that I get to provide flowers for in the area.
We'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious and the menu had a nice variety that would make me want to come back and try more. BUT the service was what made the night. Rusty, our waiter, Kelly, the bartender, and the host (did not get his name) were so lovely and the atmosphere was inviting. The locals were also nice; even if they didn't interact directly with us, the interactions between the locals and Vue employees spoke for itself. Good people, good food, can't go wrong and would highly recommend.

This place was amazing. The food was INCREDIBLE, the service was awesome. The only negative was that they didn't have a cocktail menu, so if you only drink on special occasions, it might be a little tricky to pick a drink, but our waiter (shout out to Rusty!) was very sweet and patient and we were able to get what felt like fancy drinks ordered. 10/10.

My husband and I went here for our 20th Anniversary. We stayed at the Hotel Breakers for a couple of nights and it was so nice to be able to walk right to the restaurant. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. There is outdoor seating that we are going to try next time we're there in the summer. Our server was above par! He was prompt and provided good feedback on their menu options. He was excellent! My husband had the fish and chips and he said they were the best he's ever had. I had the Pasta Pescatore and it was absolutely delicious! The cocktails were very good as well. I had a margarita and a dirty martini. Hubs had a cherry limeade vodka and a mudslide. Thank you, Vue Kitchen, for helping us to have a really nice and special anniversary dinner!
