Fantastic standards at Pepe’s. Although they do t have a fish taco, they make it up with the particular hard shell taco. Some purists believe the hard shell is made up, like Valentine’s Day. However as an old school la Mexican, there’s nothing wrong with the hard shell taco shredded beef, fresh cheese and tomatoes make this a favorite. I absolutely love Pepe's Mexican Restaurant in La Puente! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, friendly customer service that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The facility is spotless, which really adds to the overall experience.

Pepe’s as a chain has been around for decades but this location has only been open for like 10~15 years. In the time that they’ve been opened, I think it’s safe to say that they’ve established themselves as a Hacienda Heights staple for fast casual Mexican-American food.
