Donut was good but stay away from the cookies. Unless you like the taste of stale! Purchased a bunch of different kinds and ended up throwing all away ($38 worth!). My advice is to buy one and taste, if you like then buy more.

Half Moon Bay Bakery on Main Street is a tiny, charming gem that smells like heaven the moment you walk in. The display case is full of fresh pastries, cookies, and specialty breads that all look irresistible. We picked up a pumpkin bread that was perfectly spiced and moist — we savored it for the next two days! The kids chose two pastries and couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. A cozy, nostalgic bakery that’s absolutely worth a stop when you’re in downtown Half Moon Bay. Highly recommended!

We have been coming to your bakery for over 20 years and on every year after walking the annual hmb pumpkin festival we stop by and buy 2 pumpkin pies and the quality of the pies has always been outstanding hands down the best pumpkin pies in Northern California but this year when we got home to our dismay one of the pies was half burnt and had an unappealing smell and taste the other pie was excellent we have never checked the pies at the time of purchase as the quality has always been outstanding we are hoping that this was a one time incident and not an example of what to expect in the future

Oh god.. how can you mess up cake so bad? We came here to pick up individual slices of everyone’s favorite type of cake for my dad’s 70th and I’m not even kidding… every single cake type, carrot cake, lemon cake, chocolate cake, pumpkin cake, red velvet cake tasted awful. Tasted like “cardboard” “dishrag” “crayons”. Idk if this is some sugar free bakery or something but even the powdered sugar on the pumpkin cake tasted off. I don’t remember this place having such issues before but this was baaaaaad. What a waste of money and seriously a disappointment.

Disappointed we tried the double chocolate cake, it was dry and stale, and the cannoli which had a perfume taste. Expensive

This amazing, cute, and small donut-cookie shop is the classic, nostalgic era. Love everything about it. The vintage wooden door and door knob took me back to yester-years.

Once you walk in there, it's like magnetic and steel, the gourmet cake slices, cookies, donuts draws all your attention to the glass panel counter. Mouthwatering decors of each cookies, cake slices, the works. So many choices, how do you choose.

Because I was visiting Half Moon Bay from Utah, my eyes were much bigger than my stomach. I got lots of different kinds of cookies, sweet treats, cheesecake slices. I made sure I've what I picked out before I walked out of the bakery. I had a checklist to eat some, save some at the hotel, and bring some back to Utah to share with families and friends.

The employees were friendly and helpful. I loved the decors, settings and environment. The bakery is small but it has all the charms a bakery could ask for and more.

I lost track how much I spent, let's just say a good amount; no matter, I got what I wanted and made me happy when I left the bakery shop.

Everything was fresh on the spot. If you are craving for sweet treats, let me say this is the bakery destination you don't want to miss.

I started with one-two-then a few more cookies, a satisfied/happy customer. I knew in my heart the next time I return home to the Bay Area, I will be sure to take a drive to this bakery store, again.

From the San Francisco International Airport to Half Moon Bay Bakery, it was about 45 minutes depending on traffic as I took my sweet time on CA-1 South, the scenic drive route was beautiful as a postcard and it was about 27 miles.

With a full box of treats in my rental vehicle, eating them all along during my drive back to the Bay Area, my heart was content and complete.

Half Moon Bay is one of the happiest bakery store on Earth. Can't wait to return for more yummy treats.

I had placed an order ahead for some pastries, gave my information and paid ahead. The day I went to pick up my order the owner was rude and disrespectful, when I asked my order. They gave my order to someone else and spoke to me as if it was my fault. I said well I paid for my order and he said he didn’t care. When I called him rude, he said yes I am rude. I have gone to this bakery as long as I lived in Half Moon Bay, and I can honestly say it is the last time I support them. The disrespect he showed in front of other customers is disgraceful. This bakery gives Half Moon Bay a bad reputation.

Great bakery the pastry’s are very good. The coffee is average, just how I like it. It’s small or large and it’s ready in 30 seconds

Excellent Bakery. It’s been there for almost 30 years. I visit the place every time I go to Half Moon Bay downtown.
The cinnamon Crisps are the best.
Love the wood fired pizzas too.

Small and nowhere to sit but good service and donuts were great. $2 per donut which is probably the going rate these days?!

Just wanted to let you know that your website on Apple Maps leads to some weird gambling website. I might have gotten a virus from it. Hope you guys fix it soon.

This was my first time visiting this bakery. Nice vibe great pictures, great pastries, and donuts breads. However, out of the staff unfortunately I got the rotten apple. No hello, how can I help? Lol, I got the look as if I’m to now I’m next. I ordered four different kinds of cookies and cannolis. I got four individual bags to carry out the 4 different types of cookies I ordered.? Maybe, I should have asked earlier to put them in a box but Honestly, I didn’t know how much I was going to order. Everything looked delicious! Sometimes common sense goes a long way.? I did ask after if I could please have a box to make it easier to carry the cookies out. She gave me the box and walked away nice!? Trust me, I understand I work retail. However, just remember this one thing… Customers are there keeping you employed with the job whether you’re tired or not whether you wanna be there or not! Treat your customers with respect always!!! Great them with one word “Hello” if anything it’s respect, that’s customer service! Have a great day..
P.S your cannolis were amazing!
