It's expensive, but lovely. Always busy but GREAT service and amazing food.
A restaurant designed for IG. The absolute opposite of a greasy spoon. Very pretty decor and ambiance.
A friend highly recommended the place and I wanted to try it out. We had an omelette, eggs Benedict and waffle.
First flavors, the waffle was great, it's an actual yeasted Belgian waffle. The Benedict was nice and well cooked, the old town scramble had very little flavor.
Next portion and price, everything was small, if you want a small breakfast this place is perfect but I could have easily eating a second plate. When you add in the egg surcharge/tax/tip etc you are looking at about 30/person for breakfast. Honestly that's just too much. Glad we tried it and can check it off our list but not a place I'd go back to.
Food was excellent. Queen Bee waffle was great! Great service and super fun retro decor. Will be back!
Good breakfast and great service with smile

This place is an absolute gem.
A work colleague and I dropped in here for breakfast on a whim, and oh boy, I wish I knew of it sooner.
I'm from the UK, so as soon as I walked through the doors, the decor was fabulous and gave me that american diner feel.
The staff were super, and the food was out of this world. I HIGHLY recommend the lemon blueberry pancakes.. I dream of them. The breakfast egg sandwich was the best I've ever eaten, fresh ingredients made with love and care.
The restaurant was light, airy and super clean. The bathrooms were even decorated beautifully and had fresh boquets of flowers.
Every part of the experience was thought through by the owners. The bill even came in a winnie the pooh book! So cute!!! 1000% recommend a visit here, you will not be disappointed and if I am ever lucky y enough to be in tebatea again I certainly will be making a stop.
Stopped here for some pancakes, blueberry etc awesome
The BEST!
Best burger in HMB hands down! Always coming back for the burger and fries.
Located on Main Street, Downtown Half Moon Bay, this is a very popular breakfast spot! Old school dinner appearance, but modernized and enhanced to attract affluent brunch guests, who enjoy a mimosa to start off their day. I highly recommend their Old School Benny, which is an egg Benedict with spinach, tomatoes, ham covered by a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. This also comes with their fired mini red potatoes, which are incredibly tasty! Sister omelette, egg whites, veggies omelette, also comes with their fried potatoes. Chilaquiles, tortilla chips, chile sauce, eggs, and cheese! They present your check(bill) in a Winnie the Pooh book!
I recently visited Johnny’s for breakfast, and it was fantastic! The crème brûlée French toast was a delightful treat, and the Sisters Omelette was equally delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, going out of their way to accommodate us by allowing a call-in order since we were about to miss the 12 PM last call for breakfast. Their willingness to help made our experience even better. I would highly recommend Johnny’s to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot!

Came here during the Pumpkin Festival and although there was a long line, the wait was justified. So many great menu options but I chose the Lemon Ricotta pancakes topped with blueberry compote and marscapone whipped cream, they were hands down the best pancakes if ever had. For drinks we got a bottle of Prosecco for mimosas. My husband enjoyed the chorizo and eggs. The service was great, especially for being such a busy day.

I was so disappointed. I had a fly by my table and a wasp. The hamburger was so greasy and as thin as a McDonalds cheeseburger the milk shake was water down. Over priced.

Honey, let me tell you about Johnny's Half Moon Bay - it's a drag-tastic delight that'll have you gagging for more! ?????
From the moment I sashayed through those doors, I knew I was in for a treat sweeter than my favorite wig glue. The atmosphere? Giving me small-town realness with a side of fabulous. And don't even get me started on the food, darling - it's so good, it should be illegal!
I lived for their chicken and waffles - crispy, juicy, and stacked higher than my hair on a good day. And that Cobb salad? Hunty, it was serving fresh-faced realness that had me feeling like I just got a new filter.
But the real showstopper? The service! Those angels behind the counter were more accommodating than a drag mother on coronation night. Even though we rolled in fashionably late, they treated us like the queens we are.
So listen up, kittens - if you're not making a beeline for Johnny's, you're doing it wrong. It's the perfect spot for when you want to feel like royalty without having to wear a crown. Trust and believe, this queen will be back faster than you can say "death drop"!
