We decided to hit up my favorite local spot this morning and discovered they are CLOSING!They have been a part of this community for almost 25 years, a true mom and pop diner with exceptional food.I would come in and sit at one of the blue-vinyl booths and order my usual, the honey wheat pancakes. The springs on some of the seats were extra "springy", and I would sit there reading about singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole on the Jazz posters, and bouncing like a kid as I waited for my food.I have still NEVER found a place whose pancakes compare to those here. Wherever the cooks and servers go, I wish them the best of luck, and wherever the owners end up, I wish them a lifetime of good fortune, and hope they don't stray too far from us. ? ❤️

Our waitress was kind and attentive. The food was disappointing. Stale sourdough toast that was hard as a rock. Jims hash is canned hash. Potatoes were flavorless. Even the eggs were less-than. If we come back we will order a Benedict instead, because everyone gives it rave reviews. The coffee was delicious, by the way!

Excellent local diner. Great food, great service, great ambiance right in the middle of Half Moon Bay.

The staff are super friendly and the food phenomenal. Not exaggerating when I say the French Toast was the best I ever had! The blueberry pancakes were great too. I can’t say enough about how nice our waiter was. We will definitely return the next time we’re in HMB!

The food was great. BlackBerry French Toast, Veggie Omelet, Eggs Benedict all gourmet quality served in a neighborhood diner atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Would have shared the pictures but we ate it before I remembered to take pics of the lovely presentation. We will certainly be back.

Of all things! I met a girl Nathalie from my English class at San Mateo high school here randomly one day. Turns out she became a fashion model! We started dating after the company I worked for, NCT, was acquired by Oracle. Shortly after a romantic weekend at a low-budge motel, birds started attacking everyone. I fought them off with a coat hanger, my friends died, but we ate some seaweed and I fought them off with a tire iron and survived. I recommend the breakfast burrito - solid choice.

Overcooked rubbery omelette. Staff nice but no smiles. Lousy value for $20 breakfast. Won't return.

Spotlessly clean, buzzing little diner with excellent, hearty breakfasts served with a smile? The hash browns were great, as was the grilled bacon and eggs any style?

I enjoyed the vibes and the music when it was playing staff were super friendly. I had french toast and bananas and a side of sausage. I will be back, my only complaint would be that your coffee smelt like dirty water or maybe it was the cup. Im not a complainer so I didn't bring it to staffs attention. Im excited to go back, I took a peek at the other peoples food around me, their plates looked super appetizing. Over all my solo meals are about $20 average, here you will get your moneys worth. Its very homey and personal it feels like. I enjoyed staring at the Shirley Temple poster

This is such a wonderful place to start your day on the coast. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It's right downtown. The food is excellent with several unique items and omelette combinations. The staff is friendly and highly attentive. No matter how busy they are, they are on top of coffee refills and are always smiling and friendly.

Food was decent. Ordered fish and chips and they had no lemons for the fish or their iced tea. They even have a bar and no lemons. Employee I talked to didn’t care and told me “not my problem” I don’t recommend this place to anyone that cares about food quality and customer service. I’ll NEVER come back here again. What a waste of $15.
