Consistently great food hand crafted and authentic. Maybe the best lamb chops on the planet. Locally and family owned, it's a beloved spot.

Solid Italian-American fare at this spot. GREAT location overlooking the waterfront. We had calamari fritti and salmon carpaccio for appetizers...both delish! My friend had the gnocchi Gorgonzola and I had the pasta special of artichoke lasagna. Both were quite delicious. Being full-blooded Italian I can say I've had more authentic Italian food in the Bay Area, but I've been here a couple of times and would continue to come because everything I've had has been delicious and solid.

On an impulse we headed to Half moon Bay and chose this restaurant for a nice lunch. Prices were ok - Lots of pasta is in the $20 range, which was acceptable. They served no bread until they served the meals. I had wine with my meal and asked for a 2nd glass. I had to remind the waiter 10 minutes later I was still waiting. No refills on water. I had to ask. They brought us doggy containers. The person said "would you like a bag?" We said "yes" and he never returned with one. My gf orders Linguine della Baia which has "clams, calamari, scallops, shrimp" - it came with 4 calamari and 1 scallop and she didn't like the Calamari. I was hoping for better. And for the record, they were not packed. Plenty of open tables for the lack of attention we got. With so much competition along the coast, we won't be back. Alright - last edit on this. I see owner of the restaurant likes to shift the blame of a bad dining experience on to the customer for not speaking up. I don't go into a restaurant to train the servers how to do their job, and I certainly am not going to tell the chefs how to do their job. It's a given they should know to server, check, bring bread, refill water, ask if we want another wine...and by the way our waiter NEVER checked in to see how we were enjoying the food. Honestly, I've been treated better at 0live G@rden.

Old school italian spot frequented by locals and tourists alike. Great fresh pasta and seafood dishes. Would recommend getting a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon and enjoy the seaside view! The salmon carpaccio to share and seafood pasta. Loved the seared salmon. Would return to try their meatballs!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu

Great restaurant. The Pasta was home made and it melted in your mouth. The sauce was also very good. The Service was attentive....the olive oil for the bread was difficult to get out of the bottle. The food was very good.

I love this restaurant. Always go there when in Half Moon Bay or go to HMB specifically to eat there. We did ask them to turn down the music, which they did very willingly; at other restaurants that is often not the case. Wait staff very friendly and helpful.

The spaghetti & meatballs tasted like canned chef boyardee. Meatballs were cool in center. And to top it off the noodle was linguine. The lasagne was bland as well. I'd suggest trying new restaurants in the area this older staple has missed the mark.

Watch your receipt. 1st the tax should have been $35.17 they charged $42.19.Gratuity 18% on $375 should be $67.50 they charged $75. Overcharge of $14.52. Because they had a special for Valentine day they would not let us order from the regular menu which is what we wanted. They ran out of the dessert that was offered with the meal. Not very happy with this restaurant.

I had a wonderful experience at Mezza Luna. It was a rainy and stormy evening, but the warm and welcoming staff made me feel I was in for an exceptional experience. I ordered the fettuccini Bolognese (I added mushrooms) and shared the Carciofi Special (roasted artichokes with a lovely dipping sauce) and ended with the Bigne Mezza Luna dessert. Our waiter and other serving staff were excellent! This is definitely a five star restaurant. I will absolutely visit again.
