The ribeye was delicious and the steamed mussel appetizer was exceptional. Prices a bit high, the old fashioned was $18. Our server Sam was friendly and terrific.

So things didn't start well. The host totally ignored us even though we were waiting for him. After a good five minutes another server stepped up to take us to our table. Then we waited a LONG time for our order of salad. I had to catch the attention of the house manager (?)/owner(?) and she agreed, our order was taking a long time. When we finally got our orders of pizza and pasta, the food was beyond its prime. 🫤 One shoutout to the server Luciano. He was so attentive to details. He was great. The house manager (?)/owner (?) was very apologetic and very kind.

The food was good. We sat at 6pm with a group of seven people and didn’t leave until 9:15pm. The reason for this is that we could never find our server. He just disappeared all the time. I had an old fashioned with dinner and never was even asked if I would like another, our group constantly was running out of water as well. After we finally got our checks we ended up taking them to the front ourselves to cash out and leave.

We enjoyed our entrees very much. I had the gnocchi special and this was one of the best dishes I have ever had anywhere. It was rich with fresh flavors of cherry tomatoes and basil, and the gnocchi was perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed the paparadelle pancetta, which they accommodated a vegetarian request and omitted the pancetta. The butternut ravioli in a brown butter sauce was good, but for our tastes would have been even better with some vegetables (arugula or spinach. would have been a lovely addition fr our tastes.).
Service was attentive, however could have been more polished. I was quite surprised by how our table was cleared. While I appreciated the efficiency, it was awkward to have the staff stacking all of the dishes and cutlery in hers hands while. standing so close to my friend, who had to lean back into the wall to move out if the staff's way. This is not the level of service I would ever expect at a restaurant o.f this caliber.

We have been here several times and loved everything: although this time the entree was completely over cooked . this was the Mary's lemon chicken. dry and as tiny as a game hen. the squash was also completely over cooked and mush. I did not eat my entree and disappointed I was charged the full price. The music was so loud difficult to hear others. the appetizer: salad and dessert were wonderful.
OMG. Absolutely fabulous meal. I had the salmon, my husband had the chop. Appetizer was mushroom bruschetta. Excellent. Atmosphere was warm and staff were very friendly. The owner Steve the owner came around to meet everyone. Highly recommend.

We have eaten at the Pasta Moon numerous times over the years (though we do not live nearby) and always come back because of the service, the ambience and the food. The surface was a bit shy of a five star this time... But the food was not! Always fabulous! We will be returning for New Year's Eve since New Year's Day is my birthday and it is my favorite place to go when we are in town. Should you find yourself in Half Moon Bay and looking for a fabulous dinner with the pace of service that is spectacular reservation for Pasta Moon.

Cracker thin crust pizza excellent. Egg Plant Parm excellent. Service friendly and delightful. Atmosphere lovely. Piano music in the bar also very good. Apparently, the piano playing is only available during the week. We were there on a Tuesday to celebrate my birthday.

The food was great. Unfortunately we didn't feel particularly welcome by our hostess and our server when asked for recommendations just repeated the most expensive thing in every category. When we go to have a nice meal we appreciate good service and the visit to Pasta Moon, our first, didn't provide it.

Have been here a few times over the past 10 years, and it has been delicious everytime! I just recently went back with a group, and all of our food was delicious, the waiter was professional, and the busser, Maribel, was very kind! We got bruschetta and olives to start, split the apple salad, halibut, pasta, lasagna, and Gnocchi. Would recommend it if you’re in half moon bay 💕
