I’ve had multiple disappointing experiences with a barista named Gaby at this Peet’s location. She is consistently rude, short, and has a very sassy attitude when interacting with customers. On several occasions, I’ve also overheard her speaking negatively about her own coworkers, which feels unprofessional and uncomfortable as a customer.
I expect a welcoming and respectful environment when I visit Peet’s, especially since other staff members are generally kind and hardworking. Unfortunately, her behavior has made visits unpleasant enough that I’ve started reconsidering this location.

I have frequented this store numerous times, over several years. The staff has always been pleasant but today I had my first negative interaction.
The server was the store manager and I was requesting a coffee refill. I am well aware of the refill policy, I usually have two cups of coffee. Her tone, asking me questions whether I had been in the store, did not sit well. I felt like she thought I was trying to steal a cup of coffee. Her question was perfectly reasonable, her delivery was abrasive, demeaning, and left a sour taste in my mouth. I gave her feedback about how I felt about my interaction and her response was that she was just doing her job. I made a food order and she just dropped it on the counter, walking away, neglecting my request for it to be warmed.
This behavior was uncalled for. Customer facing skills are seriously lacking, from my perspective.
A smile and a little positivity goes a long way providing a pleasant customer experience. Just a thought…

Very bad service and bad drink.
My 71-year-old mother in law went to Peet’s Coffee today in Half Moon Bay for a simple cup of coffee and was refused service because she had her small Yorkshire Terrier service dog with her. Her dog is fully trained and legally allowed to accompany her, yet the manager, SARAH, turned her away instead of offering help or understanding.
This was extremely upsetting for her no one, especially a senior with a service animal, should be treated like that. What happened was disrespectful, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable.
Service dogs are protected by law, and refusing service is not only wrong, it shows a lack of proper training and compassion.
Peet’s needs to retrain their staff and ensure something like this never happens again. My mother in law will not be returning, and neither will our family.
The male Barista here is very rude.

Super tasty drinks. Baristas are super nice and the place is clean. Restroom codes are posted by the door so no need to ask for the code if you forgot the digits.
