Really good food. The 10$ lunch menu is a steal deal. Ambience is nice and good service. This place is very underrated. Overall great experience! We had the BLT, New Yoker and the Hen of the woods pizzas

I rarely write bad reviews because I don't want to affect a business negatively. However, this place ruined my anniversary dinner. We could have eaten anywhere to celebrate our 14 years together, but chose this place because of the good reviews. I hate to say this, but this was by far the worst thing we have ever eaten. EVER! It was inedible. Worse than the county hospitals food where I used to work. The crust tasted like rotten burnt oil. The crust texture was like an old stale ciabatta bun. It was hard to bite and pull off a piece with our teeth. The sauce made my wife gag. The cheese tasted dirty like it sat somewhere for days and collected dust. We couldn't even eat it. We tried taking a second bite to give it another chance, but had to spit it in the sink. We got a brownie and cookie too and they tasted like they didn't use flour. They were grainy and crumbled to tiny pieces when you picked them up. We Door dashed our food and it cost over $85.00 for one pizza, one cookie and one brownie. It was the perfect week long anniversary celebration, minus this horrible pizza experience.

This hole-in-the-wall is a gem!! $4 pizza slice can't be beat. I've driven past here multiple times and wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for yelp. They have cute indoor and outdoor seating and a huge selection of pizza, desserts, drinks and wine to choose from. The hen of the woods was the best pizza I've had in a while!! The cheese was a good classic, and personally thought the chicken pesto was too dry for my liking. The lamb I didn't try but my brother liked it. Working in the area, I am on a mission to try salads. This place has a few, today I got the anti pasti it was good. The connivence of buying by the slice here is cool. I admire things visually before eating this place definitely gave me that. My vinaigrette so fresh it separated on my way pack to work #science. The place is always clean and lively right off the highway so vary convenient for the beach goers. I have three more salads to try at this place. Pst the also have bomb.com pastries.

Yummy! Great place to stop by and grab a quick bite after going to half moon bay beaches. Been here twice and liked everything I tried. The square pizzas are pre-made and displayed but they warm it up after you order. Would definitely come back here to try more items. I checked their online menu and I can't find the items I had but I do remember some of the pizzas were seasonal ones. My favorite pizza with a strong mushroom flavor is the Hen of the Woods pizza ($4) and also really enjoyed the Meatball Parm Sandwich ($12). Don't forget to order some dessert pie too before you leave. Chocolate and key lime were super delicious.

Very slow service and dishonest pricing. If the sign says the lunch special is $10, you cannot charge $12. The staff said it’s a recent change that the lunch special is $12 after a certain time, but that’s not on the sign.Posting one price and charging another is illegal and dishonest. Either add the times to the sign or charge the price advertised.

We went here to buy a pizza takeaway to enjoy it outside with a view at pacific and it was a great choice. One can tell they really put effort to every detail of their pizza. And I would give a 6th start for the great bargain on the lunch menu!Vegetarian options: Very tasty veg pizza

Was introduced to this spot via a Yelp event and I've been a fan ever since! They have multiple "pies" so you are bound to find something you like, whether you are a meat lover, a veg enthusiast, or a little bit of both. My favorites are the chicken pesto and the lamb sausage. But I have tried most of them, even the Hen of the Woods which has shrooms and is still tasty even though I am not a fungus guy.The staff is incredibly friendly and will always humor me when I'm hemming and hawing on what to get. You never get the impression they are just waiting to ring you up - they have good convo with you and are super chill.You can eat inside our outside, plenty of seating to choose from. The location is great cause you can get there right off HW1 or via Kelly Ave. They're in that red complex which has tons of parking, facing the HW1 side.The price are also great, about $4 a slice and 2 will do you right unless you're starving then you might need 3 or just save room for dessert. Their pies are legit, I've had the coconut and key lime. The have gluten free options too.I live in San Mateo and I've come over the hill with this place in mind, many times! They have some good lunch specials too so check them out!

Stopped by for their lunch special - 2 squares of pizza and a side salad for $10. The smell of pizza drew me in despite my already having had a first lunch at Dad's Luncheonette. We ordered a square of the Hen of the Woods (Maitake Mushrooms, Truffle Aioli, Charred Green Onion, Mozzarella Cheese) and a square of the New Yorker (Italian Sausage, Roasted Peppers & Onion, Calabrian Chili Oil, Mozzarella, San Marzano Tomato Sauce). For the side salad, you have your choice of any of their salads and we went with the antipasti salad (Shredded Romaine, Radicchio, Olives, Red Bell Pepper, Pickled Red Onion, Sopresseta, Feta Cheese, Italian Vinaigrette). We had them package it for us to go, but we ended up eating it all as our second lunch because it was so good. Lots of seating available inside and outside. Another good food option find in the area.
Got the 10$ lunch special. The side salad was fresh and appetizing. However the pizzas has the weirdest crust I have ever seen. The taste of the mushroom pizza was okayish too. Don't know why this place is so highly rated.

Very pleased with my experience. Online order/pick up was very fast, within 11 minutes they were ready with my half lamb half mushroom (hen of the woods) pizzas.Absolutely delicious. Both of them were perfectly seasoned, the hen of the woods was so freaking good. Definitely worth the order.

They serve square style pizzas and have a daily $10 lunch deal with 2 slices of pizza and a salad. All the pizzas are warmed up when they serve you and were all incredibly crispy. You can tell the pizzas were made fresh and didn't have that old, soggy cheesy taste. It also was not too greasy. They have a wide variety of flavors to accommodate different taste buds: -hen of the woods is a mushroom filled pizza topped with truffle oil and it was simply MAGNIFICENT. i'm a huge mushroom fan and i was very impressed with this flavor, especially appreciated that the mushroom didn't make the pizza soggy. highly recommend! -chicken pesto was okay. the chicken was moist, but there was very little pesto flavor -caesar salad is standard, and was a refreshing pair to the pizzas. however, they are heavy on the cheese and dressing though, so if that's not your thing, you might not enjoy it as much as i did. -aloha pizza and blt pizza were also tasty, according to my group Parking was incredibly easy; huge parking lot with tons of empty spots. Bathroom is shared amongst other businesses in the plaza and you need a key to access it. About 5 min stroll from both main street and 10 min stroll from HMB state beach! Very convenient location. The food itself is honestly 4 stars but the service is +1 star! The cashier was incredibly attentive and kind, amazing hospitality. The owner or manager even came out to check up on us and was very friendly.
