The Safeway is nice. I especially like their bakery section. They are still taking Covid precautions pretty strictly. I appreciate the ease of the self check out when only picking up a couple of items. The parking lot however can be pretty annoying both coming and going. The design cannot efficiently handle the volume of cars that typically are going in and out of the shopping center.
This is the closest Safeway to my home and it has a little bit of everything. Prices are a bit higher than grocery outlet and smart and final but since those stores are at quite a distance from me I don't mind paying a little more for things I could potentially get for a bit cheaper. I have had a great experience when ordering cakes and cupcakes from the bakery. But their bakery has plenty of pre made cakes and cupcakes you can purchase. Over the years I have stopped & shopped here many times, being born and raised in the Bay Area I know Safeway very well. This is an older Safeway but, extremely clean and well maintained. Store is well stocked with the usual items. Lots of free parking. Good deli selection. The day we stopped customer service was good... Covid protocols being followed, masks being worn, some employees wearing gloves. customers required to wear masks. Clean carts. Social distancing enforced.
