“This is a culinary delight and an absolute MUST dining experience in the super quaint "Main Street" area of San Mateo. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive - as if you were honored guests in their home. The food was incredible - truly something for everyone - and delicious. The wine list is extensive - they offer Caymus Cab by the glass; a rare occurence. The cocktails were well crafted. Start to finish...this was a meal and an establishment to remember. I will be back! You need to check this place out!!Parking: Immediately in front of the restaurant is a walkable promenade (no vehicular traffic) - 2nd & 3rd Streets offer limited street parking, some of which is restricted - much is taken up by restaurant outdoor dining "parklets". YOUR BEST BET is the Main Street Parking Garage. You only pay until 6 PM...it is free until 2 AM thereafter.Kid-friendliness: Not so much. This is definitely a "hey, mom & dad, take a few hours off! Get a sitter!" kinda place.Wheelchair accessibility: Accomodating - but give them a heads up ahead of time. One of our guests had a walker and staff graciously helped her get situated, and stowed the walker while we dined.“
“There are a few small plates available from each of several Mediterranean cuisines. The overall collection is somewhat eclectic, but the quality was consistently very good and mixing the different styles worked. The wine list is also good and fairly representative of the different cuisines.“
“We were in town for Valentine's Day so I made a reservation here. I knew it would be busy, which it was, but the service was still great. We were taken care of quickly, our waters were always full (which is important to me), the wine was great and the food was even better. All the wait staff were friendly, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Pulpo if you are in the area!“
“This place looks very modest both outside and inside but wow does the food quality deliver. A Salvadorian friend of mine told me about this place. The Sopa de Pata had an amazing amount of flavor. It could definitely win an Umami award. The Pork Bean and Cheese Pupusa was my favorite. The Pupusas were some of the softest and best I've had. Easy parking in the shopping center parking lot. I will definitely come back here again.“
“I last visited Seville Tapas long before the pandemic and was happy to revisit this local Spanish gem of a restaurant last weekend after a long absence where the chef-owner trained at the California Culinary Academy. My friend swooned over the delicious gazpacho and Piquillo peppers filled with herbed goat cheese, while I enjoyed the traditional Tortilla Española/potato omelet. We also enjoyed a glass of Spanish white wine while sitting on the deck and enjoying the gorgeous views on a perfect day. BTW: we both live in SF and can't wait to return. Note: The reverse side of the menu also offers a selection of American items.“
