The chocolate simply didn't taste very good. The linzer torte cookie was terrible. We threw it out. Very expensive. HUGELY disappointing!!!

A super cute store chocolate store in Half Moon Bay. My mother swears by this store. I love the chocolates and sweets that they have to offer.The store is very small but it filled with chocolates galore. There are many different options from drinks, to chocolates, and some sweet pastries. The price isn't cheap but just right. This is something worth treating yourself or a loved one!

I really wanted to like this place! Love chocolate and sweets...:). Service was great, super nice staff. The reason for my 2 stars is because I just don't think the chocolate was good. Between my wife and I we probably had about 8 different chocolates and the taste just was not there. This is just my personal taste, and I will come back to try again.

This place was a lovely find. I've passed it often and so happy to finally get to try it. The chocolates are beautiful. There's so many varieties of gorgeous options. We tried the hot chocolate (superb) and a few of the candies. We also noticed they have ice cream and cookies. And espresso drinks too. The service was friendly and very helpful. When we asked about the hot chocolate the barista actually got out a container of chocolate pieces and showed us what was used to melt into the milk. Nice. They have a few outdoor tables if you want to sit and enjoy your coffees and chocolates. One tip: on Saturday they have house made Pastries!

As a chocoholic turned connoisseur - this is my favorite chocolate! I've tried many over the years. Not only that, but the visit is always the best. Ursula is very kind and genuinely connects & every staff person does likewise. Even when they are busy in this tiny shop, this holds. When I've had an unfortunate gift delivery experience (due to USPS), Ursula was promptly responsive in generous resolution. This shop & these chocolates are always the very best.

The chocolates are delicious, and they are our favorite. But this review is regarding a 2021 experience with customer service.. I had received as a gift from my husband a delivered box of Sweet 55 chocolates for Valentines and they molded before we got to enjoy them all. We enjoyed them based on the expiration date on box. We received them 2/14 and expiration stated 3/27. Mold was found in the chocolates before expiration date, which we discovered only because we cut them in half to share. Had we popped the whole thing in our mouth, we may never had known! =X I reached out to Sweet 55 and was informed that it was clear that the expiration date stickered on the box was clearly wrong and it should have read 3/7. The representative kindly offered to send a chocolate gift, which I thought was very kind of her. Unfortunately, we never did receive the gift, and were left with a sour feeling from the failed service recovery.

This place is a must stop by and indulge..Half Moon Bay, CA is a gem of a coastal town and Sweet55 delivers the goods. The best chocolate croissants, hands down, in the Bay area. The large mocha, is delicious and the chocolate is tasty and the right balance in that it's not too sweet. Today I had a fresh rhubarb tart, that was right out of the oven. I waited ten minutes for it to cool and it was absolutely delicious. The Chocolates are World Class..I plan on trying them all but not all at once. Visit, Indulge and Treat yourself to whatever makes you happy. You will be satiated delightfully.

My husband and I stopped by Sweet 55 today, Sunday, May 21,2023. We ordered Cafe Latte and one small Florentine cookie. Latte and cookie were EXCELLENT!!! High quality ingredients and great taste as you would expect to get it in a pastry shop Konditorei) in Switzerland! We will be back!

We also added a couple cappuccinos to the order as well, which were good too.While there were a lot of options, it was hard for my wife to find a simple piece of dark chocolate. Sometimes simple is better.

Their chocolate cookies and chocolates are very good. I also had their affogato with chocolate ice-cream which was very great tasting. It had a very bold and rich flavor.
