Lumpia Shanghai was good and the Beef Kare Kare was Delicious! Thank you for having my pick up order ready and prepared!
I'm glad we still have a Filipino restaurant on this side of town. I was told a new owner is managing this place now. Their sisig is 10/10! Kare kare is on point. Their home made shrimp paste is on the saltier side but its umami just hits right when paired with kare kare. Have yet to try their lechon. The 9-5 crowd are so happy you guys are open until 6pm unlike the previous restaurant. Thank you!
The previous restaurant of PYP, had a transition to new owners. Now known as Ca Lasa. Though we all miss Rog, there is still a warn energy of community and of course, taste of great food that remains. The new chefs are awesome(I believe one was from NoyPitZ) & the new family who owns and runs it are great.
The food here is still fantastic. Is it PYP? No. Is it supposed to be PYP? No. It is different, but it's so good and I like their take on a lot of the dishes. Glad...read full review

Ca Lasa is a Filipino restaurant that transitioned from a previous restaurant with new owners. The quality of food is intact, if not better, and the new chefs are awesome. The staff is always welcoming, and there is still a warm energy of community. The sisig is 10/10, and the kare kare is on point. The home made shrimp paste is on the saltier side but its umami hits right when paired with kare kare. The Bangus Sisig and BBQ skewers are awesome, and the caldereta is a favorite when available. The Chef is Kapampangan. The 9-5 crowd are happy the restaurant is open until 6pm.
