love huli huli. id never had other hawaiian food before or since trying huli huli (i’ve had it a few times now), but it was like a life changing experience so i think they do it the best as possible!
Got the bbq short ribs and chicken katsu. Service was great, food didn't take too long, and the bbq short ribs were delicious. Unfortunately, that's the end of the good part. Katsu sauce tasted really weird. It was unlike any other katsu sauce I've ever tasted after living in Hawaii for 30 years, and it wasn't good. The chicken katsu also smelled and tasted odd. I had the BBQ short ribs. Nice portion and very tasty. The rice was mush but I did go over there at 230 in the afternoon. Kind of a weird time so I won't knock off any stars for that. Short ribs were the super star and the reason I went. The guy working the front was very nice and the place looked clean.
