After using every “ big company”meal delivery service under the sun and not being fully satisfied I was beyond pleased when I received my 1st order from Loval Foodz Cali. Their website and ordering system is perfection, you can do meal plans or you can order “a la carte” and specify EXACTLY which protein, carb and veg to the ounce to fit individual fitness goals. It goes down to listing your macros as you pick your portions, you increase or reduce your portion and the macros calculation changes with it! Ridiculously detailed which I absolutely love. Whoever designed the website is a genius. They also deliver to your address or you can pick up at local partner businesses and you decide where when you check out, you get text notifications as your package travels and when it arrives at the destination. The packaging it came in was a very nice soft cooler with icepacks, meals were individually packed in secure leak proof containers- just by looking at it you could tell this was made fresh. Every container comes with its own Nutrition label. I ordered the paprika chicken teriyaki chicken, shrimp, yams, brown rice, zucchini and egg whites frittatas and other items- everything cooked to perfection. I was also able to reach them with some food questions and their costumer service was outstanding. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I love LoCal Foodz because they really are local. Fresh food prepared in the Bay Area and delivered fresh, unlike all those other meal delivery companies. I always get the Signature Entrees or salads and I order a full menu every week - enough to eat every lunch and dinner for a week.
Every meal is fresh, flavorful and delicious. If I've ever had a problem - a missing topping or sauce, nothing major - or an idea, an email gets a quick response from the owner. Problems are fixed and ideas are welcomed.
I love this food and I'll never go back to frozen, or those plastic-sealed, courier-shipped companies. Fresh and local is better.
Edited to add: I agree with another reviewer, I love no cooking, and the way ordering is set up, you can modify portion size and get just what you want. Can't say better.

No onions, No garlic, and No gluten. Yes I know...it's not fun, but I have to manage. I reached out to LoCal Foodz Cali to chat with Sunny when I was first researching different meal prep services. We had a great call and talk on the phone and you could tell he really cared on the phone call. I decided to order my first order with them and placed my allergy specifications at the bottom Delivery note as there wasn't another area to insert a custom note and the allergy button did not have Garlic & Onion as a choice (who would wish such an allergy on someone?!). I received my first delivery, and wow did it smell good!! But that was the issue, if it smells good, in my experience, it probably has onions or garlic haha. So I reached out and left Sunny a voicemail, and of course I was upset & frustrated. The promise he made on the first call that they could handle this type of request and I thought I had followed the instructions properly. I left that voicemail & sent him off an email right after smelling the garlic and onions around 9 pm...he called me immediately 15 minutes later. He was greatly apologetic and told me he would make it right first thing in the morning. They owned up to the mistake, let me keep the food, which I gave to my gf, and brought my new food the next day at no cost. Since then I have made a few orders and each one has been perfect! The measurement aspect is also amazing as I can only eat smaller portions of food per meal which is another story for another time. Sunny is extremely nice and the food is perfect. LoCal Foodz is the best healthy meal prep service in the Bay Area hands down! I've gone through a couple, and nothing tastes better than LoCal Foodz. I love their Cauliflower Gritz and Garlic Steak. I love that you can also make your own meals according to your macro goals. I used LoCal Foodz before my wedding and it helped A LOT! I will be using this meal prep company when I have kids, because it's super nutritious and made for people on the go.

The meals are and have always been quality with the portions accurate to the order specifications.The staff works tremendously hard to accommodate request and they are always looking for ways to improve service and selection. For example, I am big on bison over beef. After several nudges management offered bison as a menu option. Can't thank them enough. Best meal prep company; try them out you wont be disappointed.

Wow, love the food and the idea of clean food with tasty flavors. My favorite was Fiesta bowl with guacamole and shrimp and grits were fabulous as well. Definitely will order again, the delivery was in time as well. Great option if you are trying to lose weight, ordering lunch from here to the office was the easiest thing ever.

I live in Texas. My mother is in Cali. When she is heading to the hospital and asks you to help with food, you panic. That is, until you contact Sunny at LoCal Foodz. Not only was the customer service TOP NOTCH, but the food was excellent as well. I was able to find foods both my (picky) mother and father would enjoy, at a very reasonable price. Turn around time was quick, delivery was good. This will now be my go-to place when Mom needs help (and I think she has already ordered more!).
