Carmela's offerings of scrumptious cupcakes (also available as layer cakes), cookies, halo-halo, flan, mini-cheese cakes, and modern versions of some Filipino desserts are just delightful! Until this Hercules bakery opened, our favorite quality cakes are 20 miles away. This is not the typical bakery with super wide menu, but has the variety that can surprise both new & returning customers. The cakes not only present well but also match good looks with good flavors and texture. They are lightly rich, not cloyingly sweet. And, Carmela can accommodate some customization with cake orders, such as having a different frosting than normally seen in the cupcake version. (Our favorite is Double Chocolate cake with Mascarpone cream frosting--not available as cupcake (yet?).Walk in this neighborhood cake and dessert shop, delight your eyes and sweet tooth.

Bought the following on 7/3/22:Cupcakes (almost $5) a piece. Dry, no good. Wasted money on 6 pcs.Silvanas no good either. Bought 1. Threw it away after small bite.What I liked was the mini cheese cupcake. Creamy & delicious.
