The owner is the loveliest of people - generous, sweet and gracious, soft-spoken but very friendly.Food here is delicious and the only reason I don't visit more often is the operating hours - they are closed between lunch and dinner and on Sundays. It's a small, cozy place and great for meeting friends over a shared meal.Looking for a great local small business to support? Thai Lao is a Win-Win!Just a heads up.. I was charged more than the price listed on the menu, but only once that I noticed.Parking: Lots of parking available, and near the Home Depot

This is an AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS restaurant. I tasted the Pad Kee Mau and Kra Prow with shrimp, both were the best I've had locally! And the mango sticky rice did not disappoint. Please support this business, they are well worth it!

Called in an order on a Wednesday night and he said it would be ready in 15 min. It was sad to walk in and see the place empty especially with all the positive reviews. This place does not disappoint! We ordered:Tom Kha soup with chicken 5/5!! It was SO GOOD especially on a cold winter night. The citrus from the lemongrass was *chefs kiss and big enough to serve 2-3 people. Chicken satay 3/5 it wasn't too memorablePad kee Mao with tofu 4/5. So tasty and added their chili sauce that really elevated the dishTLDR: hidden gem in Hercules. Great food. Large portions. Definitely coming back for their Lao dishes.

Ordered a few dishes for our family dinner - The nam khao was really tasty - I loved the bits of crunchy rice and the flavors were all there :)

Kao Saephan

Ordered the KaoSoy, Yum Woon Sen, Beef Larb & Lao Sausage. The KaoSoy was a little disappointing due to the lack of meat, but the taste was decent. The Yum Woon Sen was a bit on the dry side. Taste was not up to par. Beef Larb had taste, but could have been better. I understand the crowd around the area and they have to apply the taste to a certain group of people. The Lao Sausage was good, again could have been slightly better. Surprisingly they had broccoli and cabbage with the Sausages. The green curry was a mistake by the person who took the phone order. We don't like Thai curry and the mistake order still reminded us that we still don't like Thai curries. In any event, the restaurant has potential, but two visits and I think we're done. Maybe perhaps we'll come again for the third time to make sure it was "off days". Until then, keep eating everyone!

The food at this place is good! My family and I "go to" place for Thai when we are in the neighborhood. The food is spicy and we are not too crazy for spicy food so when we order we have to tell them "no spicy" because even when we say mild it is still spicy! But so far everything we have ordered has been delicious! Their Thai Tea drink is very good and I don't think it is made with powder like other places because I can tell how creamy it is so that's a plus for us. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

I have been here about 5 times since they've opened (dine-in and takeout) and have not been disappointed. The food has a lot of flavor and aside from the pictures below, I also recommend the Panang Curry.

LOVE this family run and owned restaurant! The interior is cute and welcoming and the artwork on the walls are beautiful. Very clean and the lady who was working FOH (all by herself might I add, and was rocking it) was super friendly and attentive. Now let's talk about the food. DELICIOUS. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Spicy Eggplant (MY FAVE!), Nam Khao, Kao Pad Thai Lao, Green Curry and Mango Sticky Rice. All of it was amazing! And the portions are big--it was perfect for our party of 7. I can't wait to go back and try a fish dish. Ps, make sure to bring home the cookies they sell at the front. So yummy!

The BEST Lao and Thai food in town. Hands down. No competition. Their food is authentic and bursting in flavor from the natural meats, veggies, herbs, and seasoning combinations. I have not been to a place in this area that even competes to this level of quality, flavors, and customer service! I, definitely, will be back again when I am in town!
