The winery is especially known for its Cab Franc, which is considered one of the best around, with tasting notes of berries, dark stone fruit, a dash of pepper, and a subtle hint of roses. The vineyard is located on both sides of the San Andreas Fault and uses old Vaché planting methods. DeRose wines are organically farmed and dry farmed, with grapes carefully exposed to sunlight and clusters thinned after veraison. The winery provides a laid-back atmosphere with knowledgeable staff, making it a top choice in the South Bay.
