A spot in LA that isn't very LA.
We wandered into The Cat & Fiddle and—wow—what a find. Picture this: an honest-to-goodness English pub that feels like it’s been teleported straight out of London, but somehow landed in the middle of Hollywood. No pretense, no velvet ropes, just old-school charm and ridiculously good food.

This pub has a charming courtyard that feels like a little oasis in the middle of Hollywood. I tried their shepherd’s pie, and it was hearty and flavorful. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a good mix of locals and visitors. Service was attentive without being pushy. It’s a great place to grab a pint and unwind.
One of only a handful of British Restaurants in Los Angeles and it certainly make you wish there were more.
Had a pint of Guinness and their Sunday Roast which was delicious. The Yorkshire Pudding was bland but likely healthier as it likely represented the use of a mild source of cooking oil.
The spicy Brussels Sprouts were oily but very tasty.
