“Very cute family friendly stop for using a nice clean restroom, letting the kids run off some.pent up energy from the car trip, and a great selection of delicious freshly home made pies, dessert, turnovers and freshly made with local fresh fruit homestyle baked goods. A huge selection of handmade jams and belly dried fruit fresh fruit , I really live this place it is a great place to stop if you have kids especially, there is a large plat area and a fairly large pond with beches and a gazebo arpund it and countlessturtles that come out of the waterand stack themselves on rocls to soak in the sun. Always clean restrooms and I have tried alot of the desserts and lived evey one. My favorite is the apple or apricot turnovers they are huge.“
“So the credit card machines weren't working. I waited for them to restart. After 10 minutes of two employees trying to get it to work I thanked them and was going to leave. They offered me 3 cookies for my inconvenience. It made my day. It was my wife's birthday and everything was great from that point. Thank you.“
“I will forever love the cheesecake kitchen. Got a strawberry cheesecake for thanksgiving and it was a big hit. Delicious cheesecakes always presented. They can be pricey but I think for the quality, it's well worth every penny. My go-to place for events/birthdays. Try it out!“
“I love everything about this place. Only wish for whole wheat bread options or more sugarfree options for my own health. Besides that, it's my favorite café now. I feel so at peace here.I've tried:An Affogato 9/10A SF caramel iced coffee with nonfat milk 6/10A Tomato Basil Pesto sandwich 9/10A SF caramel macchiato with no drizzle 8/10A raspberry beignet 3/10 (it was okay)I would try their other treats if I didn't have restrictions! :) They look delicious!“
“Best croissant I EVER ate! I know...you think "It's a croissant. How good can it be?" Crispy but not crunchy on the outside and tender pillowy inside. We also tried the sticky bun. Delicious and huge. Get one to share. And the porkstrami scone. Tasty and not dry. I will be making special trips just for the croissants! I'm ruined for any others now. (lol)“
“Crumbl is something I recently tried when I got a free cookie for my birthday! I am so sad I have been missing out all this time! They are amazing!Parking: The parking is very easy and I have always been able to park up front.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved the modern atmosphere also and she is 10 years old.“
“Being Portuguese I can tell you that their rolls and sweet bread are always delicious. They have a decent selection of other items but you need to put an order in over the phone cause they run out quick. If you go there and they don't have any bread don't be upset they sell out quick.“
“We've been sampling donuts in the are recently and these are just about the best we've had in the Modesto/Ceres/tTurlock area so far. Courteous service, clean store and best of all the donuts were tasty and didn't leave a strange or greasy taste in the mouth. Good job people! Left off one star due to low inventory.“
“Personally i prefer pan dulce over doughnuts, I don't like overly sweet pastries or excessive frosting. I'm a sucker for a good cream horn, the custard filling here is very good, doesn't have an artificial or bitter aftertaste. The enriched dough breads are soft and tasty, give it a try. Parking in this lot can be a nightmare depending on the time of day, its confusing and tight.“

What sets Bonanza apart is their commitment to using fresh handmade tortillas, elevating every dish to a new level of excellence. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to Bonanza Tortilleria promises a memorable and delicious journey through the vibrant tastes of Mexico.“
“I've had these mini bundts multiple times in a wide range of flavors. I've never had a bad cake from here, the frosting is so so good and the cake is moist. It's a smaller shop on the outside of Raleys, I believe. The staff are all very nice and quick to help you. 10/10 I would recommend signing up in the app so you get a birthday freebie and emails when they come out with limited edition flavors like this reeses peanut butter cup mini bundt! So good!“
“I had the pleasure of visiting The Sweet Potato Pie Company in Modesto, and it was an absolute delight. Catrice, the owner, is a true culinary artist. The sweet potato pies she creates are nothing short of exceptional. Each bite was a heavenly experience, with the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. It's evident that Catrice pours her heart and soul into her craft.Beyond the incredible pies, the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the bakery added to the overall experience. It's a place where you can truly feel the passion and dedication that Catrice and her team have for their craft.Whether you're a fan of sweet potato pie or simply looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, The Sweet Potato Pie Company is a must-visit. Catrice's talent and commitment to quality shine through in every delicious bite. I can't wait to return for more of these heavenly treats!"“
“Olde Tyme pastries is by far the best bakery for dessert bites/ and customized cakes in Turlock. They never disappoint me, I always come here for my customized cakes/pastries. The service is so amazing, the girls are always super helpful. 10/10“
“Such a cute local place to grab your morning donuts. It seemed to be m9st busy around 830 am as I tried to park in this small lot. Service was amazing very friendly and fast. Only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was Mr T flavor is the only 5 star I'll give for donuts“
“I've eaten donuts all over the Western US and these are definitely on the must try list! There's places to sit and enjoy breakfast with the kids after dentist appointments and they have really cute decorations like keys on paintings and Split-Leaf Philodendrons that are beautiful. They have plenty of choices in donuts and even have chocolate cake donut holes that you should try. Excellent prices and friendly staff“
“Nestled in a side street near downtown Turlock, you’ll pass by it if you are not looking, a M & S Portuguese Bakery.Go in - You will not regret it! Sweet Breads, custards, Horns, turnover, hard cookies, Coffee and more. Super friendly people and great food!“
“I came for the first time yesterday which also happened to be their 5th Birthday as a business. I got a delicious strawberry orange smoothie and this jalapeno bagel with cream cheese that was to die for. The atmosphere was very cutesy, definitely inspired by the coffee shop in friends, but still very original with art all over. The meeting area is this nice little indoor hall just outside the main bakery part. They forgot to actually get me my bagel, so after about 10 minutes of waiting I reminded them and they got it to me very fast. Overall a great experience and I will come back.“
“My 5 year old and I like to stop in here for cookies. They're fresh and colorful. His favorites are the polvorones with sprinkles. The staff is always polite and helpful and the prices aren't as high as they are in other bakeries.“
“I grew up in Orange County and I am a person who loves to try new things, a man was their today that helped me pick out something new that I had never tried. We landed on Booshala, a semi spicy soup like dish with many herbs. I will definitely be back soon and thank you for being so helpful!“
“Modesto’s Hidden Gem! I was looking for a good local spot the location was very different to regular shopping centers. The barista was super nice and helpful in deciding what to order. I went with the Mazapán Frappuccino and it definitely tasted like it! The Nutella concha was delicious too!“
“We were looking for coffee shop and found this delightful French bakery. Sat at table in front window and people watched. Inner courtyard patio area. Great lattes and raspberry croissants for breakfast. They had full breakfast as well. In quiet edge of French quarter on urselline st. Near French market“
“We were in Turlock and finally decided to try this Mexican bakery. I have been wanting to come here because of the reviews and never had the chance to. Don't be fooled by the outside look of the place, it can look scary but it's worth going there. It is a hole in a wall bakery so dont rxpect much. Came here to grab some conchas and whatever baked goodies they have. When you get in, you can grab a tray and tongs to get your own bread from their cabinets. I am a little unsure on how clean their trays are. I wish they also come with tray liner or something. Anyway I opted for the mini conchas and my boyfriend brought some other bread. They have a lot of bread that I wanted to try but wasn't sure what they are or what's inside of them (if any). I will definitely be back here again.“
“First time here. I was in the area for work and just found the place on yelp.I ordered a half sandwich and it was DELICIOUS. Everything was made fresh and you REALLY get your money's worth. The combo was like $9.00. I ordered a half sandwich and my goodness I was STUFFED. Good thing I didn't get a large sandwich.“
