“The one and only negative I can say is that people weren't wearing masks or social distancing around the area, but that's not a negative about the snack shop itself (they were taking reasonable precautions like making everyone wait outside for their order and distancing inside). In a non-Covid year, this wouldn't even be a consideration. I WILL say that the food quality is better than anything else we found in either Kings Canyon or Sequoia NP. Double-scoops of ice cream were $5. The fries were delicious. And in hindsight, I really should've gotten a burger while we were there. I saw others and they looked soooo much better than the crap we ended up getting later on at the Grant Grove Courtyard window. The view is also really nice, as it's right on the water. We found picnic tables across from the nearby boat dock. All in all, it's a pleasant atmosphere and I'm glad we made the detour off coming back from Kings Canyon.“
