Burtucci's is as close to NY pizza as Huntington Beach, CA is to Huntington, Long Island. The cheese breaks instead of pulls, the sauce is basic, and the crust has the same consistency as the cheese, which makes eating the pizza feel like pizza flavored bubble gum.Not only that, but when I asked if they could please leave jalapenos off of one slice so that my 5-year-old son could eat it without feeling it was too spicy, the guy taking the order told me they can't do that. They can only do halves. I wasn't asking for a discount and it's not rocket science fellas. I just wanted one slice worth of the pizza to not have jalapenos on it. Nope. We can't do that. Okay. Fine. Hopefully the pizza is great, also nope. "NY Pizza"? C'mon.I guess if you are hungry and you want a single slice it might be better, but a "fresh" pie almost made me want to throw up.If you want a great pizza and you want quality ingredients, go to riip Pizzaria on Magnolia. It's worth the in house order and the wait and they care about their pizza.Burtucci's.... either take down the "NY Pizza" from the sign or add the word "Sewer" between NY and Pizza. So disappointing on every level. I'm posting photos of the place which looks nice and you may have a different experience but mine was absolutely awful. I would have been better off cooking the Albertsons signature frozen pizza from my freezer.I won't be ordering again..... ever.Kid-friendliness: No.

They use fake chicken fingers. Chicken is the chicken nugget style shaped meat paste, not chicken tenderloins. Pizza looked decent but AVOID THE CHICKEN FINGERS!!

A year ago I thought this was the most NYC-like pizza you could get locally, but then the quality became inconsistent. The Sicilian was often just crust with a bit of sauce and cheese. I continued hoping it would rebound, but no luck. On my last visit, my slices were only given a 20-second pass in the oven. Very sad.

NY slices are amazing, I had the sausage and pepperoni my daughter had a Sicillian Cheese slice and we split a sausage roll. I have to say that it was one of the best things I've had in a long time. They even had an IBC authentic NY rootbeer.

A Nice, Fun Karen

The pizza is great -particularly the Margherita pizza. It’s cooked perfectly with a nice crispy bottom. The salads and pasta is good too. We ordered it online and they delivered it to our home very fast.I’m not a fan of the meatball but the pasta was good and it was a huge portion. It will last for 3 or more days.Great service and nice staff.

How this place has a 4.2 rating at this time baffles me. They are rude, they don't care about the customer. Items never come out in a timely manner and its really sub par pizza. Heck go across the street and get better service and tastier pizza at MoD.

They have a legit pizza oven and are my favorite pizza place in Huntington Beach. I just absolutely love their pizza.

S'alright. Pizza is pizza. All pizza s'alright. Am I right? The Mediterranean is good, as is the Margherita and Everything pizzas. Good size slices, friendly service, comparable prices. Interestingly, Mod Pizza is right across from this joint. We much rather support a family owned biz like this place. Not a bad spot to grab a slice or a whole pie. Not sure how long a mom and pop place like this will last. HB has to have some hellacious rent for businesses.

This used to be our favorite go to for pizza and salads. Must be new owner or management. Called in order and was told 40 minutes. Arrived at 35 minutes, and no one even greeted me for at least 10 minutes, then was told to wait 7 minutes longer, waited 60 minutes in entirety and they charge $.50 for water and $1.00 for an extra side of sauce (canned sauce mind you) which is needed as the tiny ramikens of sauce provided with the order are enough for about 1/4 of the calzone. All the prices are crossed off by hand and jacked up at least $4-$6 ? Bummer all around. 3 stars is very generous.
