I had an absolutely awful experience at Habachihana in Huntington Beach. I tried calling to make a reservation, and each time I got through, the workers kept hanging up on me. I called multiple times, and each time, I was abruptly disconnected without any explanation. This is completely unacceptable customer service, and I won’t be returning. It’s disappointing, especially when you expect a certain level of professionalism, but clearly, they don’t care about their customers. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food. The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?
Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.

Delicious ??
Unfortunately this place has gone down hill. The food is not very good anymore and almost every item on the new menu is 30-50% higher. You can't serve a $60 bowl of rice in a plastic to go container. Hopefully the next place that comes here is better, because this place will fail.

Japanese Teppan-style restaurant in Huntington Beach (one block south of Beach + Warner). This is actually a local chain, with a total of 7 restaurants all over SoCal, from HB all the way north to downtown LA and Pomona. I actually discovered them through their food truck, which is known to be around major events in SoCal. Let me just start by saying that the food is great. The meat is high-quality --whether you go for NY Strip or filet--, and so is the salmon. I had the NY Strip bowl and it was very tender and tasty. I'm not sure going for the much more expensive filet mignon is worth the price. The pricing is a little perplexing, with sides being on the costly side. Also, there are surcharges if you want fried rice or Yakisoba noodles instead of white rice. And they're not small surcharges... Although not cheap, the Yakisoba noodles are excellent and wouldn't lose in comparison with what I've had in Japan. My wife had the grilled salmon, and she absolutely loved it. Service is good and relatively fast. Any faster and it wouldn't be that good. Service is good and corteous. All in all, a solid choice for this kind of food. It's not the cheapest (and if you know how much cheaper this food is in Japan you'd cringe. Of course, this isn't Habachihana's fault...

I recently ate at this location in Huntington Beach and the food was great. Habachihana never dissapoints. I ate at the other locations in orange and anaheim and the food is always good. I see the comments here people complaining about the prices. Prices are high every where people. It's called inflation. Blame Biden, the guy you guys voted for, not the restaurant.

This place used to be good. I don’t know if someone new took over. But with the new changed menu and increased prices for smaller portion sizes. It’s not worth the price. Might as well go to panda.

Funny I live in downtown LA and at there across the street from the movies. Well the service was bad, expensive for the portion and the wait for too long. To see all these comments I'm not surprised.
