Great venue. Right on the beach. Has inside bar area and great outdoor patio. Knocked off 1 star because the drinks are pretty weak. $9 for a tito cranberry in a small glass with a 3 count pour. They could suffer to be a tad more generous with the booze at a dive bar.

Ye ol plank has always been a go to spot in imperial Beach for me until today, Jay has always made good drinks (partially why we come here) tonight was a different story, first 2 drinks me and gf had were good (made by jay), but after the next 2 were horribly made by owners son I ask about the drinks and get told if I can't taste the alcohol I have a drinking problem. Somebody else tried my drink and said the exact same thing taste like straight coke so we ended up closing up and left, and ended up leaving the drink on the counter after that rude comment.
Nah yeah the male bartenders are horrible and racist. I got there one night and waited for my turn to get service and I was finally next and this white lady already drunk walks up and the white guy saw me being up next, but he chose to attend the lady. Luckily I didn’t have the need to waste a penny there. Took my money somewhere else. Shame for a nice place but those bartenders clearly are close with the owner or something like that cause the response I see from the owner on these bad reviews is ridiculous.

The place is very nice, the food is good and the prices are good, unfortunately the 2 male bartenders have a HORRIBLE attitude. I was in that bar from 4:00 pm until 2:00 am and the bartenders were very RUDE, RACIST, the bar was not busy and every time I wanted to order a drink, they ignored me and pretended they didn't hear me, at some point at night I went to the bathroom and left my sunglasses on the counter and when I came back they were gone, I don't blame them, other people where around, but it was a little strange, ERIC the old guy with a beard and EDDIE the chubby Latino guy definitely ruin the experience being in Such a nice place, I hope the management of the place does something about it to improve customer service, if so this rating would be much higher.
