My friend suggested we meet here for lunch, and I was greeted warmly and given a table near the door so I could be on lookout for my friend. I enjoyed chatting with the wait staff who checked on me to make sure I had chips, salsa and a drink before my friend arrived. The ambiance was comfortable with cozy, large booths and assorted Mexican decor, including some weird little surprises such as miniature Disney characters randomly placed up on a high shelf. My friend told me that he chose this restaurant because it is one of the top 2 best Mexican restaurants in Indio (and there are a LOT), and because they don't play music so loud that you have to shout to have a conversation. I ordered the crunchy shredded beef taco plate and it was just how I like them. I highly recommend El Campanario!

great Mexican food I love getting the chicken enchiladas.. order one with red and one with green ... or the wet torta so fire..... tacos dorados are bomb... and the shrimp chilis are some of the best out here in the valley...

This is the real deal for authentic Mexican food. Everything house made, including the salsa. The food is the best. Even the things that you can get everywhere else, like Chile Verde, are superior here. This is the very best of Indio
A friend of mine recommended me this place for dinner, I wasn't disappointed, we ordered cielo mar y tierra molcajete and some icy cold chabelas, my kids order tacos, very friendly and for sure kid's friendly, everything was so perfect here, fast service!
