Confessions of a Foodie.
I’m not really sure what a foodie is. I suppose people who eat out often and have higher than average standards based on decades of fine dining experience. If that is right, I’m a foodie. Only a little small,make your reservation ASAP!!
We dined Saturday night our second time there. The food is delicious and so are the drinks. We arrived without a reservation expecting to wait, no big deal.
The hostess, I didn’t catch her name but she’s pregnant…was extremely rude.

Italica is a fun, hidden gem and speakeasy in downtown Indio, offering an escape from the typical desert vibe. The atmosphere is dimly lit, dark, moody, beautifully decorated, and very chic. It is a small place with an element of whimsy and intrigue. The menu is inventive and creative, with wonderful appetizers like the artichoke, and delicious entrees such as the branzino, bolognese, and NY strip. The pomodoro salad and tiramisu are also highlighted. Drinks are generous, creative, and delicious. Service is repeatedly described as wonderful and great. Many guests state the food is incredible, fabulous, the best Italian food in the valley, and that they will be back.
