Had a wonderful experience from the moment we stepped in until the moment we left. The owner treated us like family. Friendly, professional and with a great smile and great African stories. The feeling is of pure calm, relax and the ambience is super clean and airy. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. Every bite was a woooowww!
We recommend the n.4 spicy beef tenderloin in a thick rich tomato onion sauce. Looking forward to going back. Thank you.

I really hate writing this review given they have excellent reviews and I chose this place because their reviews was so good .

I had Ethiopian food before and theirs was just okay.

I got the vegetarian plate and it didn't come with no fresh salad or jalapeno as shown on picture.

Also the lentils was not fully cooked to my liking and flavor was again just okay.

Please note this is my opinion, give it a try you might like it but Awash is still my No. 1 Ethiopian food place.

This is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants that I ever have dinned in LA. The food ingredients, spices and service is very authentic. The owners prepare the food with humble welcoming and gracious smile. The price is very fair and the atmosphere is clean. In such tight place, they utilize the space cleverly: The location is prime for parking and walking around the neighborhood. Well, if you happen you are at Betty Mart and Resturant, don’t forget to order the special coffee ☕️ (Jebena Coffee).My wife and I enjoyed everything here. We will be back soon! Love this place.

I have eaten Ethiopian food in Ethiopia and around the world and this is some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Great service, great atmosphere very clean and also many Ethiopian food products (chickpeas , berbere, incense, snack) to take home. Highly recommended!! ??

I’ve been to a lot of Ethiopian spots… from those on Fairfax to ones across Chicago, but Betty is the ONE. the most balanced and well seasoned vegetarian platter I’ve ever had, and the shiro is everything. and everyone was so kind. will definitely be back
