We visited this place a while ago, it had a great vibe with nice decor—only that the service was ridiculously bad, wish my phone reception was better in the area so I had a chance to look at the reviews. We ordered the cabbage roll to-go, portion was small for the steep price and it was lukewarm.Cash only and there was absolutely no such sign at the door. I’m all about supporting good local businesses but save yourself from this one if you can.

The place looked cute and homey with a bar and other seating arrangements outside, however me and my party sat inside. We were not seated, which i did not mind, we took our own seat and menu and sat down. We were not provided untensils, having to grab it ourselves. We were given bread that was tough and chewy, and i did not personally like the taste. Then our food came out. I had ordered lamb shanks, and the other people in my party ordered chicken vlimer( i am sorry, I don't think i am spelling it right). The lamb shanks had no flavor, and had a lot of bone, the chicken was fine, but the sides did not taste the best. It was really expensive for the amount of food we got, and in our opinion it is not worth it. There is also a plate splitting fee in which if 2 people eat from the same plate they are charged more by 7 each plate. I think this is ridiculous, but oh well. All in all I would not go there again and would check out other quaint restaurants in the area

This restaurant embodies the word “perfection”. The food so delightful you cry tears of joy. the service so enjoyable you feel as if you are part of a family. The atmosphere makes you want to buy a ticket to Czech Republic. this restaurant thought me life lessons of happiness, sadness, pain, and love. truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Food was ok, prices were on a higher side . Fish was frozen . Menu says fish and chips but we actually get fries . Ladies were very sweet , service was good but they should change or add some vegetarian option as there was none .
I used to live in the back of the restaurant 20 years ago when the owners Dad still ran the restaurant. He has since passed away and now his daughter runs the family restaurant. Vladia is the most wonderful and sweet lady. She changed the prices on the menu for the first time in about 30 plus years bc she had to. She added a few items which her Dad did not serve such as a chicken salad, cheeseburger and fries, oysters...other than that this menu nor the food has changed. This is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. This is a real dinner folks. She starts you off with homemade rye bread warmed with butter served on a wooden cutting board, followed by homemade and wonderful vegetarian soup(lentil, black bean, cabbage, mushroom, split pea), always vegetarian. Next a small house

Maybe we caught them on a bad day. The food was extremely bland. We had the kolbasa and the lamb shank. Would not have these again. No flavor. Tasted like a microwave meal. Even the sauces were bland. Hopefully their oysters are better.
Delicious & understated. The food here was so so good. I had the goulash and my boyfriend had the cabbage rolls. It came with bread, lentil soup, and salad. Great atmosphere. Will come back again for sure!
I really wanted to like it, it seems like a cute place and we were hoping to have found a gem after a long hike out at Tomales Point, but we were disappointed. The food was only ok, didn't seem authentic Czech but I didn't have much to compare it to. I chatted with a woman at the table next to us and she wasn't impressed either. Her mother-in-law had cooked her authentic Czech food many years ago and she said this didn't even compare. The price is a flat rate for a 3 course meal with your choice of entree. Seemed a little too expensive. To add to the disappointment, my husband left his hat in the chair by accident and we called for several days trying to get confirmation it was there before driving 3 hours one way to retrieve it and never got an answer.

The atmosphere was great, however the main courses were ok at best. Lamb and chicken were cooked well but there was no flavor of any type, no salt. Would recomend a visit for the burgers and beers though. The staff was friendly and nice
We love this restaurant! Every time we come to Point Reyes we stop here for dinner on the way home. Tasty traditional fare, good Czech beer, great decor and friendly waitstaff make Vladimir’s a real treat!

Great Vienna schnitzel ❤️ and Roast Duckling. Will definitely be back ;) Highly recommend ⭐️
The restaurant appears to have significantly improved since some of the negative reviews were made. First, they most definitely take credit cards. Second, the food was piping hot, quite tasty, and very authentic. The bread was fresh baked and soft. Service was good and fast and staff were friendly. The only downside is that it is a little pricy, but then the place next door is $115 for their fixed price dinner so sub $30 is a bargain in Inverness. We did miss Vladimir from when we used to come years ago. He was a character and the restaurant and world are a little less without him.
STAY AWAY FROM VLADIMER’S!!! THEY ARE A RIP OFF!! We decided to try this restaurant because it looked like a unique and different experience. The decor inside feels like your walking back in time. We were a little concerned that they were charging $31 for chicken paprikash but thought it might be worth it if authentically done. Couldn’t be further from the truth! The rice tasted like Minute Rice, instead of giving us Czech dumplings that were supposed to be part of the meal according to the menu, we got what seemed like Costco potato salad. The chicken had a lot of gristle and there was barely any sauce over it (and we didn’t spot any mushrooms that were supposed to be in there according to the menu). But the biggest offense is that they charged us $7 for a plating fee because we only ordered one chicken paprikash. When we asked the waitress she said that’s because it doubles the amount of dishes they have to do. Her math was way off as she brought us one main plate, one bowl of soup, and one salad which is three plates but they only gave us one extra plate for my date (which he ironically only used to put the gristle from the chicken on). When we asked the waitress about this she refused to do anything about it. We then called her afterwards on the way home to talk and she hung up on me and then chose to let my calls ring without answering there after. For these prices, skip Vladimir‘s and go to the seafood restaurant just steps away where you can have a fresh, flavorful meal and great service!
A local historic restaurant to visit when open! There is some tasty Czech food and drink to be had here!!
Run to another restaurant instead.Overpriced and massively understaffed by unskilled servers (though they appear to have worked there a long time). It was NOT busy at all when we arrived at 4:30, yet nobody to seat us, had to grab our own menus and silverware and napkins, as instructed by bar tendress who worked just 3 feet from our table in direct line of sight (and knew nothing about bartending). Then an HOUR later the only waitress finally asked us for our order, after taking the order of at least 2 other tables that came after us. Then an HOUR later, our food arrived (the two parties that came before us had eaten and paid and were leaving when our food arrived, and they ordered the same things we did). Meanwhile countless others had to keep coming in begging for attention or where their food was. Some left without ordering. They completely lost track of their customers. The duck was good but overcooked and the soup was good, but the sides were scant (about 2 bites each). Overall it appears the place was likely paid for long ago and they have no more Fs to give, don't seem to care if they do a good job or not. $4 for a can of soda off a Costco pallet (we saw it). Cute atmosphere. They DO accept credit cards now. Screen totally fallen out of window but nobody seemed to notice.I stood at the front and advised several parties to flee, explained why, while I stood in the middle of the entrance...AND THE STAFF STILL DIDN'T NOTICE!I was there (where the menu was) calculating my own tab because she never came. I easily could have left, she had no idea I hadn't been given my check yet. For almost $200 and clearly the largest party in the place. I decided I wanted the credit card points so finally cornered the waitress to get me my tab (the third request), otherwise I would have estimated myself and left cash. Left 15% which was 75% more than they earned.
