“This place has some of the best food EVER. They have nice specials basically every day outside of the normal menu. The Reuben sandwich is the best I've ever had in my life and the Thai food is astonishingly delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”
“This restaurant embodies the word “perfection”. The food so delightful you cry tears of joy. the service so enjoyable you feel as if you are part of a family. The atmosphere makes you want to buy a ticket to Czech Republic. this restaurant thought me life lessons of happiness, sadness, pain, and love. truly a once in a lifetime experience.”
“The service was like any place. Some were superstars, and others couldn't be bothered. But the superstars won! The Fish and fries were incredible - best fries I've had in a long time. It's situated in a very rural area, but the drive is worth it. The building is right on (next to) the water and place is nice.”
“One of the few places open for dinner, and it's quite homey inside. It was getting late so we were struggling to find some local food after our backpacking trip. The Station House Cafe burger was juicy and savory and the mushroom risotto just hit the spot. A bit pricey for what you get, but I'd definitely recommend it.”
“We have been coming here for years & raved about this spot to everyone we knew. Sadly, I know they've had to make changes recently. As a small business owner, I get it. But dang...I do GREATLY MISS shucking your own oysters, being able to bring your own items for a picnic, & being able to reserve a BBQ to use. Now, it just feels pricey - I'd rather sit inside (somewhere warm) & enjoy fresh oysters nearby. Yet, they deserve mad respect, gorgeous location & product :)”
“The oysters are fantastic - we had the Chorizo, Kilpatrick and Raw. As was the bread that came with them and the fish tacos. The smoked trout salad and pulled pork sandwich were ok. Wouldn’t recommend compared with the oysters.Beautiful location and view - especially on a nice day!”
“We brought our dog and sat outside on the pier. We had great service amazing raw oysters chowder and homemade soft buttery bread, so good! It was quite a drive but the scenery along the way was pretty and we enjoyed the drive. They have an inn across the street, perhaps we'll stay next time.”
“The most amazing focaccia and scones I have ever had! We came back four times during two days of stay here. My family is a fan of bakeries and I am glad this one is not next to my town. Otherwise we will over eat everyday ! :-)”
“The pizza was pretty good. It was not as thick with cheese and meats as I had hoped but the crust made up for that.I shared 3 different pizzas with my friends and I would recommend any of the pizzas we had.Very cozy, inviting, and fun environment out side too.Vegetarian options: Specific pizzas and salads”
“Toby's is a fun shop to explore on a day out in Point Reyes. They have a good selection of local honey, jam, cheese, produce, specialty drinks, a coffee bar, clothing, a gift section, and a small art gallery in the back. Their selection is well-curated, and it's a great place to stop and shop if you like supporting locally-owned businesses.”
“Revolution bread is a work of art! Their dark sesame bread is to die for! Toast thin slices of this and add: avocado, hard boiled egg slices, McEvoy Ranch spicy olive tapenade, McEvoy lemon olive oil and season to taste. Perfection!”
“Stubbs Vineyards is high on a mountain top just over the Marin County line from the town of Petaluma. Winds stream in off the Pacific through this region the way they flow into San Francisco most afternoons, laden with a dominant marine layer and the chill off the Pacific. There are really only two wines that thrive in this climate. In fact, by comparison, the famous Napa/Sonoma Carneros Appellation is a good deal warmer. The soil here is rich and imparts the kinds of qualities you would expect to find in finest areas of Burgundy. We were actually looking for something unique, within an hours drive of downtown Sonoma's Plaza and as I combed through listings of small wineries near Petaluma, California I clicked on the Stubbs Vineyard website, which is ironically not in Sonoma County, OR Petalums.Mary Stubbs and her husband purchased the property in the 1980s without a single structure on it. They set about building their home on the property from scratch. The architectural wonder of the structures they created capture perfectly the feel of the land around it.Stubbs is perched, high atop magnificent hills west and south of Petaluma and the few buildings perched high in the hills match the soul of these vast rolling hills. Yet the wines captured us more.Mary Stubbs is the driving force behind this very small winery. Stubbs Vineyard's biggest year was about 2,700 cases. Yet you will find their magnificent, Burgundian style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the finest restaurants in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. For the many who have fallen away from Chardonnay in favor of Sauvignon Blanc, you are in for a pleasant surprise with the more clean, mineral-centric white burgundy style Mary's winemaker has delivered.Even without the wine, a visit to this bucolic space is breathtaking. But, Oh, the wine. But plan ahead.Mary can only offer limited tasting opportunities because she is also does her own sales and marketing and is often in personal touch with the host of restaurants fortunate enough to be able to offer Stubbs Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Do plan early if you want the opportunity to taste her wines and visit this incomparable boutique winery or check the many great restaurants who offer Stubbs Wines in the Bay Area.Mary's passion is broadcast beautifully by the quality of the product she produces. Her grapes are grown sustainably. Power for the vineyards are generated with wind and solar technology. Her grapes are organic. She only uses grapes from her own small vineyard plots and they are perfectly positioned to produce these two grapes in a way our wonderful Sonoma Carneros Region can't match.”
“Beer was good and cold. Guy who served us wasn't very friendly but it didn't bother me. Well I guess it did a little or else I wouldn't have mentioned it in this review. Oh ”
“Although it is a subscription specialty store, there was a rocking chair in front of the coffee shop.It was nice to be able to drink delicious coffee leisurely in the warm sunlight on a rocking chair. The staff was friendly and they only accepted cash when I went.”
“This is a cute little place that gets super busy! Expect a line out the door, but totally worth the wait! Pastries and breakfast options are delicious - we tried a morning bun and it was super yummy! My chai latte was delicious too! A great spot in Point Reyes Station to check out if you're in town.”
“The best breakfast scramble I’ve ever had. Excellent portion, great service, and phenomenal flavor. Coming back for sure…. Even the ketchup bottle provides the perfect amount of squeeze to ketchup ratio.”
“We enjoyed Due West so much on our trip we're going to eat here twice! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food and mixed drinks are superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the mussels and clams, my family also had the fish and chips, clam chowder, and although there's no kids menu they have the most delicious noodles with butter or chicken tenders. The wide noodles looked like pappardelle. We also loved the calamari and even the lemon slices were breaded and fried and we ate those too!”
“Service was pretty slow. It's expensive fir a sandwich ($18), but the sandwich (BLT) was very good. No restrooms. Parking is limited. There aren't many choices in town, so it they don't need amenities like the ability to wash your hands before eating.”
“I checked the calendar before coming here. We were happy to see that they were serving a Monday lunch. The space is cheery and appears to flow into another “business” from a previous era. The service was friendly, attentive and generous. The petite menu was thoughtful —variety and seasonal, and everything came out fresh (raw oysters, salad ) or perfect temperature (broiled oysters, soup). The flavors were great! Would love to come again when they are open-open and taking reservations.”
