Excellent place to stay! The cabins and yurt were perfect for our group. The food was great and you get a lot for the cost. Would highly recommend hiker spend a day or two here before heading north.

If you’re just passing through or camping near by Grumpy Bear is worth a stop for good food and drink and a shower if you need it. After we took our shower’s we ordered burgers and they were fantastic. Make the stop and you will be glad you did.

The owners are awesome, making it a highly recommended stop. Guests appreciate the party atmosphere, which is a nice break after getting off the trail. The retreat operates off-grid on generators, so guests are advised to order food and use showers and laundry early before the 7:00 p.m. cut-off. Hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) recommend staying at Grumpy Bears Retreat for the great food, friendly staff, and ample camping space.
