This place is trash. We went to BLK.Coffee at Irvine Spectrum Drive, and the quality of the coffee was awful. The vibes were non-existent, the cups were tiny, and they didn’t even fill them up properly. On top of that, the price was nowhere near justified for what we got. Posting this as a warning, don’t waste your time here.

We were two people, and let me tell you, my cup was left about one-fifth empty. They could fill it, but they clearly don’t care. The quality of the coffee was terrible. Honestly, they’re stingy on purpose, serving half-empty cups like it’s acceptable. And for what they charge compared to somewhere like Starbucks or Coffee Bean, it’s absolutely not justified. Avoid this place completely.

This place is a scam. Please don’t come. This matcha is already 8 dollar but they said we need to pay extra to top off. Never been to any drink place at oc that’s like this.
I make better matcha at home.
See the photo for how much drink you get when you order with the “less ice” adjustment. Topping off the drink is an extra charge. Lack of explanation prior to purchase that I would be getting half the amount of liquid that can fit in the cup. Beware!

Hi, I ordered an iced vanilla maple latte with brown sugar syrup rather than vanilla. I also added sea salt cold foam, beautiful drink. The employees were super sweet and I really appreciated that during my experience. They were social and carried conversation well and it wasn’t awkward. I don’t usually write reviews but they made me want to!

I just wanted to say a big thank you for your wonderful customer service! I really appreciate how flexible and thoughtful you are with custom orders it’s so nice that you can add different syrups and personalize drinks. That’s something other cafés nearby don’t do.

5 servers and they still have you use the kiosk placed in the same place as the pickup location. Needless to say it gets overcrowded in the area and no room to sit in line even. Walking up nobody tells you where the kiosk. Pretty poor setup overall definetly needs improvement. Basic drinks from the same order come out at different times. Good location but poorly organized, for that reason alone expect long wait times. Coffee quality is just like any other place.

This is the second time something like this has happened where I place my order at 7:20am the app says it'll be ready around 7:35am and I end up getting my drink after having to scope it out myself and thankfully my food was ready too at 8am making me now late for work. The only reason these things have happened is because they end up getting a massive order and fall behind. Myself and 5 others waited patiently for drinks to be made but what I noticed is that they make their drinks and just shelve them. I have no idea how much extra time I waited when I didn't need too. They need to call out names for pick up as well as Blk Dot Corp PLEASE set a limit as to how many drinks can be placed for pick up or employ more people to work in the morning for a rush like this. It is unfair to the 3 people working handling what looked like an order of over a dozen drinks and food on top of the others like mine. When I'm paying $25 for a breakfast bowl and a small coffee I know there can be at least one more person working to help handle these things.

workers are so young, distracted with each other, and don’t turn out drinks accurately or timely
I really enjoy Black Dot Coffee, their coffee is always excellent, and it’s one of my favorite places to sit and enjoy a cup. Most of my visits have been nothing short of perfect.
That said, I did have an odd experience yesterday.
I ordered a Mexican coffee before my friend, who ordered the same drink. The barista gave her coffee first, smiling and hinting like he was giving her special treatment. Not only that, but he also served three other orders after mine before finally giving me my drink. It felt like clear favoritism and honestly, I felt discriminated against.
Very good, flavourful coffee with great service.
