This place is terrible. There is zero service; the lady at counter was rude! We ordered a combo dish and waited for 45 minutes before getting our food! When asked why it took so long, instead of apologizing she argued with her customers. She is a nasty lady! The food was also too salty! Will never return again or recommend anyone. They don’t even deserve a star! Stay away from this horrible Korean fast food place!

Cho Dang inside H-Mart Irvine hits the spot every time! Located right in the food court — super convenient, lightning-fast service, HUGE portions, and next-level quality. Everything came out hot and came with delicious banchan. Although it was busy during lunch, they managed to get our food out quick! Presentation was on point too. I highly recommend going here on your lunch break!
What we had:
🍚 Hot Stone Eel Rice - so much umami!
🍲 Beef Rib Tofu Soup - super comforting!
🍜 Cold Chicken Noodles - unique and perfect for the summer weather!
🍚 Bulgogi Bibimbap - so much meat and delicious!

We came to dine in on Mother’s Day. The owner was not here today at cashier. I ordered the same combo with a level of spicy tofu soup as usual . It came out flaming spicy! Absolutely not eatable! By the way, I can eat raw Serrano or Habanero for no problem. I sent it back to them and they said to make me a new one to go. When I came back home, I found out they just washed the soup I already ate and recooked it with the ingredients left because it had one shrimp and 2 clams I left there so I know it was the left thing. Can’t believe they put this back to recook !For health issues!! I would never come back again.

The food is average, the tofu soup isn’t as good as bcd’s. I had to wait for over 30 minutes for one singular tofu soup on a weekday with nobody there.

Cho Dang Tofu House - Irvine is located in the H Mart food court at Irvine NorthPark Plaza.
I always get the Soft Tofu & Marinated Beef Short Ribs (aka LA Galbi) Combo when I visit here.
The combination of Soft Tofu and Marinated Beef Short Ribs is a fantastic food combination.
The side dishes served together are also good and delicious.
But honestly, the food cost is about $40 including tip, so it is a bit expensive for a meal, but I still come here when I want to eat Soft Tofu and Marinated Beef Short Ribs.

Food was ok, we got the bibimbap, soondobu, marinated pork, and seafood pancake. Bibimbap was huge, and was probably the best thing there, although it wasn't amazing. Soondobu wasnt that good, marinated pork was tough, seafood pancake was ok. We paid around $110 for everything, and it was for 4 people so the price was fair.
2.5/5 for food. They don't give out water, I think they want you to buy the bottled water. The tables were a bit dirty, but there was a lot of empty tables at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday

It’s okay. Standard fare. Bulgogi is a bit dry and tofu soup just feels salty without any rich broth.
So much to choose from at Cho Dang. Hmart allowed quite a large open space for their food vendors and it's nice and clean

This was my first time visiting this H Mart Northpark in Irvine. I used to live in the area but since have moved away but still have family in the area so when I was visiting decided to try out this new food court. I didn’t know what was good and there was limited information online so I decided to order the squid dolsot bibimbap (squid hot pot mixed rice). I didn’t expect much so I didn’t even bother taking a picture and it was slightly pricy at $20, but boy was I wrong. The food exceeded all my expectations and it was actually one of the best dolsot bibimbap I’ve ever had and I have had plenty over my middle aged life as it’s one of my favorite dishes. The portion was quite large (I’d say it’s about 1.5 servings for a man and maybe 2 for those with small appetites) had about 4 side dishes and a small bowl of tofu soup. All the side dishes (two types of kimchi), bean sprouts, and fish cakes were quite good and the soup was surprisingly good as well. Also we ordered a side of rice as the dish was quite large but the owner (?) actually gave us the rice for free. So not only great service, but fantastic food (better than maybe 90%+ of sit down restaurants) and we all need to support these type of small businesses. I didn’t get to try other dishes, but given this is a soft tofu specialist place and the dolsot bibimbap was not the main dish, I have a feeling it’s going to be good. Highly recommended.

Not bad taste, some what over price though, for food court setting and service.

I go here sometimes because it's right in front of my house. I'm a cold noodle fanatic. I ordered bibim naengmyeon and it was good. I think this is great in America. I recommend it.My daughter enjoys the seafood soft tofu here, and that’s okay too.

I ordered beef soft tofu, and it was PERFECT. I’m not usually good at eating spicy food but medium spicy level was still okay for me. It comes with various side dishes. My personal favorites were kimchi and japchae! I 100% recommend this place ;)

Meh. $20 for a food court tofu soup that’s very mediocre. Plenty of better options.

I ordered homemade pork cutlet, but had to buy rice separately. I would like you to let me know in advance.
