We went to Goldfinch and had a terrific time. The menu is broad enough that everyone at the table found something they were excited about, the cocktails were well made, and the service was genuinely warm. The hostess in particular deserves a mention for being thoughtful and patient while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive. And if you go, try the chicken pot pie. Someone in our party called it the best they've ever had, and I don't think they were exaggerating.
Overall our experience was mediocre at best. Food was not great. Calamari was oily. Steak on the flat iron steak salad was cold and lacked any flavor. The salad itself was flavorful. The Thai Curry Seabass was flavorful but the fish was overcooked. The Ube basque cheesecake was extremely burnt and inedible. The ambience was nice but not sure we'll be coming back.
Great food and Great Waiter! Loved this Restaurant for special events. Nice decor and appreciated the voucher for parking. A little pricey though.
Delicious food from a creative menu on a Sunday afternoon. The patio was so pleasant to enjoy a meal on a beautiful Autumn afternoon.
Wonderful service, food and ambiance. Celebrating with the family. Seated all of us easily. Highly recommended place to go.
Ambience and staff were nice . Great customer service but food is not that great and very expensive.
Tasty lobster roll. Great service. Will visit again.

Wow what a wonderful place to eat and drink. Staff are great and the food !!! We'll the meatball appetizer is a meal in itself.
Do get the pork chop but ask for fewer brussel sprouts.

When my fiancé and I first walked in we were greeted by the hostess. I had told her I had made a reservation and got seated pretty quickly. Our server Con was really nice and informative about the menu. We ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice stack. It was really really good. We thought it would be served as little squares with the tuna on top but it reminded me of a mini cake! It's a good portion size to share for two people. For our entrees we ordered the shrimp and lobster linguine. I think it was a tad bit salty but overall really delicious. I enjoyed the lemon creamy sauce and it paired so well with the seafood. We also got the ribeye with garlic fries and roasted asparagus. Ribeye could've used a bit more salt but it was cooked to the perfect medium rare. We really enjoyed the food so much we couldn't finish it and had to take home the rest. Towards the end we were offered dessert but we were too full to even eat dessert. They nicely gave us a chocolate cake on the house for our anniversary dinner. I would definitely come here again!
Had a company event here. We sat in the bar. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. TV'S for game watching. Great environment, good food!

Delightful celebration brunch! Exceptional service - attentive, but didn't hover. Thank you, Brandon!! Water on the table. The menu is large and diverse and we asked a lot of questions. Accurate and honest descriptions and recommendations. Cocktails were unique and delicious. Appreciate being able to order a bottle of Prosecco. Everyone ordered something different (8 diners) and each dish was beautiful, plentiful and delicious. Try the Tiramisu! I'm usually not a fan, but this is stunningly good. I was surprised that, for being semi-outdoors and on a busy street corner it was not noisy. Easy to converse across a large table. You know it's a winner when each of us is plotting a return visit - girlfriends night out, anniversary dinner, etc.
Just had appetizers. The brussel sprouts and mussels are delicious.

The food was inventive. Palatte was balanced. Service was outstanding. I will definitely be back to try the many other options!
I first discovered The Goldfinch after seeing a post from sibling duo @Brooke.and.Ben on Instagram, and I’m so glad I did. The restaurant is elegant and has such a welcoming vibe. The food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were not only unique but also beautifully crafted, and the desserts were pure indulgence.
This is definitely a spot I’d bring my clients for a business lunch, or come back to enjoy with friends and family. A great find in Irvine!
