I've been here quite a few times and the food is always good! Take-out is a bit iffy though. They've missed items more than once (welcome to Irvine!). But this latest time they actually refunded the "forgotten" item promised yay!

We loved visiting our son’s new home in open, clean, and quiet Irvine, where there’re so many wonderful food choices. On this occasion, he’d picked up takeout from this fish specialty restaurant on his way home from work. The classic fish and chips with fries did not disappoint: the cod was moist and flaky. The salmon kale bowl was splendid as well: the fish was nicely grilled; the lemon-honey marinated kale was flavorful; I only wish there were more ginger teriyaki sauce to accompany the dry quinoa. The fish tacos and sweet potato fries looked yummy. The standout was the tuna melt: beautifully grilled brioche enveloping a generously-portioned, tasty tuna salad, cheese and celery combo that gave a superb mouthfeel.

Do yourself a favor and grab lunch here! The poke was SO FRESH and the fish and chips and calamari were to die for! Amazing service, awesome staff, great vibe.

Had the fish and chips platter. Not only was the fish fresh, but the quality AND quantity were surprisingly substantial?. Had one of their natural drinks and was instantly hooked. Speaking of drinks, I had a sample of their red ale draft beer afterward...omg! I'm for sure coming back, but I will make sure I get a full mug ? while I wait for my food...in that order ? ? ?

I went here recently with a friend.He ordered the Classic Fish and Chips while I ordered the Combo box (which was fish and shrimp + fries).In hindsight, I would have ordered the classic fish and chips. That seemed like the better value. My friend got 3 pieces of fish and the fries.My combo box included one piece of fish, 3 shrimp, and fries.Fries were good and crispy.The shrimp tasted fine.. and the batter ways ok. The shrimp was crispy.Finally the fish was okay. The batter was okay. It was crispy.Tastewise, both shrimp and fish were just okay.Would I go here again?... it's hard to say. fries and fish for $13.50 or more???I think I might pass.

Great lunch food! The fish and chips were perfectly cooked and had delicious flavor! First time I tried Portabella chips and I was impressed by the amazing flavor and texture which is why I highly recommend it!

Tried the Fish Combo.. WoW! Everything was fried to perfection.. Fish, Shrimps and the Fries.The only draw back.. I wish there were 2 fish sticks rather than 1 for the higher price.I would not order the combo for the price vs food portion.

Food here is awesome the manager is cool peeps but the new guy has very poor customer service. I drive 20 miles out of my way for a poke bowl and he says he doesn’t know how to add an extra scoop. So I told him to charge me for something that is the same price of the extra scoop and he has the nerve to tell me he’s not going to accommodate me. I’m paying you he says he’s not going to give me what I want that the customer is wrong. They really need to learn how to speak to their customers because customers are always right ?

I'm upset to leave such a low rating as I am a fan of the SD locations. This spot is hit or miss - they take no pride in putting out consistently decent food. They will forget to include your sauces, even if you paid extra for them! They will over-season your food. So much salt! They will cook the same dish differently every time you order it. Never know what youre getting even if you order the same thing every time! Shame. Great concept and great menu but they cant execute. Wouldnt be surprised if this place shuts down next time Irvine Company raises rent.

Everything was literally PERFECT! We used to live in Carlsbad and really enjoyed the Fish District there. When we saw that Irvine had one, we were excited to try it and compare. Well, the vote is in and it's unanimous - IRVINE location is superior! Wow! We arrived right after it opened for an early lunch. The restaurant was playing Christmas music in November! We were so happy and knew these people just get it. So we merrily walked up to the counter where we met a handsome young man, well dressed and eager to take our order. He was helpful with the questions we asked and gave us some recommendations. Already we felt great about the service. When our food started to come out, it was fresh, hot, and very visually appetizing. The Fish Tacos are out of this world- great! The Shrimp Skewers were large, well grilled, and very tasty. The French Fries and bread and everything else we ordered was just delicious. I can't wait to be back in Irvine to feast here again.

Been here twice with the wife and ate at the restaurant. we live in the west end of Irvine and love this food. The place is clean, will serve dinners on real dinnerware. great, service , employees are friendly and helpful. Utensils are plastic. Ordered Mahi Mahi dinner with Wasabi aiolis or Saracha sauce and Ahi Tuna with one of these sauces. Excellent. sides crunchy fries, coleslaw very good. Noticed everyone at restaurant was enjoying their food even the kids. Taking family again tonight.
